My old pedometer died after ten years of use. This seems to work well. The only complaint I have is that it “celebrates” 5000 steps by beeping. It sounds like a smoke detector alarm. Unfortunately, there are no instructions with it, and the seller has ignored my email asking for directions on how to turn this feature off or reset it to a higher number of steps. If you enjoy this sort of “celebration,” this is the pedometer for you.

The set up directions are not clearly written, but there is a youtube video that makes it easy to set up. I think the distance calculations are a little off but for my purpose it still works. I just want to increase my distance weekly and the distance measurements are consistent, if not accurate.

I got this to track my dog walking. I use a Fitbit for myself and this is very close to what I get with that. Just make sure to set your stride length to get the best results. It’s easy to use if you look at the instructions. I just put it in my pocket and off we go.

How can these folks create an electronic device, the once put through the wash cycle, battery removed n dried out over night, works like new. But my 7 gazillion dollar iPhone just dies after a wash cycle. Something’s not right there. I’ve no complaints with this..

After reading far too many reviews on pedometers here on Amazon, I settled on this one. Once received I immediately spent 10 minutes programming it, then walked around the house to test it out. After a little bit of fiddling with the length of my stride, I got it right and it was very accurate. Used it for fun at Disney World (had it clipped inside my purse); now my kids and I are addicted to bringing this with us everywhere!
Because this pedometer has personalized settings, if your loved one wants to borrow it, they will have to program it with their own weight and stride length (which the directions clearly tell you how to do).
I felt this was very much worth the $12 price tag.
