Pedometers

I like the size and that it does not have buttons that you can accidentally press and reset the data, which is why I ordered it. I really dislike that it does not reset at midnight. For the last 5 years I had a similar pedometer from another brand (no longer available) that also allowed to set stride length and displayed distance traveled (ball park figure, but fairly accurate). I wish this one did. The price was right, but you get what you pay for.

This little guy is the most accurate pedometer I have found. I conducted several tests. Test 1 clipped to belt loop, walked 60 steps and it read 68. Test 2 placed in front pocket, walked 60 steps and it read 63. Test 2 was using the lanyard, walked 60 steps and it read 62. Test 3, placed in front pocket and walked around the house, unloaded the dishwasher, and walked back to my desk (about 100+ steps), it read 98 – not good, but it does not count steps under 10 consecutive, so housework probably won’t register right if you stop and pause often between chores. I like that you don’t have to measure your pace, it’s only stops, not distance, not time, not kcal burned. Clear screen, easy set up, comes with a little screw driver to remove battery cover when needed. Large clip keeps it on your waist band or belt much better than older models. Manual reset, no memory for several days, so if you are tracking you have to record your steps in another app or book then reset the pedometer for the next day/event. It’s is all that wanted and no more.

I was looking for a simple pedometer to track my steps after wearing out an old pedometer that stopped working. This one is absolutely perfect. It is easy to read with big numbers and has a backlight included.
I definitely will purchase another one of these as a back up.

Pros;
Backlit ( 6pm unlit 5am)
Steps reset at midnight ( like my old Fitbit zip)
No bluetooth or wifi to wear down the battery
Only shows steps, time and miles
Has a clip
Has a lanyard with a quick release button
Cons:
Misses steps and gets “stuck” sometimes, misses steps
Adjusted stride but it still seems to take more steps to get to a mile than all of my
other pedometers
Backlight only works after 6pm and before 5am
Hard to press Set and M ( top right of the pedometer)buttons at the same time
If you want the home screen to show your preference ( time or steps or miles) scroll through the 3 options
using the M button ( top right of unit)
When you get to your preferred home screen, hold for the M button for a couple of seconds.
Update: didn’t last a year. Just died, no reason, installed a new battery. Dead.

It’s very hard easy to operate, doesn’t need a app and works really well

Pros:
Great size and color
Big display
Easy to set up and use, can add in your step pitch (cm or in)
Shows time, steps, distance (km or mile)
Light on display for evening/night
Cons:
The time is always first on the screen, you must press the top button once to check steps (or twice when the light is on) UPDATE: It seems if you long press the top button you can pick which screen to keep first
Time is only 24 hour, not 12 hour
Can sometimes slip out of hands easily without the clip case on it
It doesn’t save and it automatically resets
Not really good to record daily steps, unless you look at it right before midnight and make a note somewhere
*****
At first setting it up and just sitting, it said 60 steps. I thought it might overcount. Then it seemed while I was using it for normal daily walking around, it might be undercounting. It records only after 10 steps (which is good, but bad for normal walking around home)
During a timed amount of walking for exercise it seems okay. You can look at your step count before you start and subtract it from the total when you’re finished for an idea of your steps and distance for that time. Despite its flaws, it’s a good enough alternative to a cheap fitness watch or phone.

Revision To first review: Since the following, the company not only refunded me the original purchase but sent me replacements (more than my original order!) so I have to update because they went above and beyond. These seem to work though I still do not see how to change the clock but have resigned its use to count steps only. Here is my original review:
I reached out to the company and, while I heard back at first, nothing was resolved.
The clock feature never worked. Even had my teen and young adult children look at it and if they say it doesn’t work, well then, it’s definitely an issue.
Also, this is made for active people and the unit kept flying off the clip so….wait for it….it ended up in the toilet at the gym. Maybe this is where it is best utilized.
I’m disappointed as I was enjoying the two days of tracking (w/o a clock but was going to overlook that) but had to abandon the idea of a cheap clip-on tracker.
On a positive note, the rep was very nice when she answered but again, no resolution. Also, the light worked and the tracker was fun. While it lasted.
