I tested the watch first, out of curiosity, before turning it over to our 9 year old. For both of us the pedometer seemed quite accurate and the heart rate monitor reported beats per minute that were in line with our levels of activity.
The design of the watch was comfortable for both the younger wearer and for me with my larger wrist. The metal contacts on the underside of the watch, required for the health data, are smooth and soft. Neither of us found them noticeable while wearing it. The watch has a small size overall which is great for the smaller user and the case uses a soft plastic which was comfortable for both of us.
There is one button on the face of the watch with long and short presses as the control mechanism. I picked up the control click patterns easily enough. It seemed even easier for the younger mind that grew up with electronic devices. Twice during a hike the pedometer was accidentally reset. We’re not sure how it happened but that was early on so we wrote it off to the user still gaining familiarity.
The charger clip works well but it relies on two plastic clips to hold it in place. So far it’s working well but I worry about one of the clips breaking with some impatient handling. The app has data tracking features which I haven’t used. Our use has been in-the-moment observation of the reported stats. It seems that connecting to the app was the only way to set the time. For those of us reluctant to load yet another app, I would have liked the ability to set the time independently on the watch.
All things considered, I am finding the watch to be both fun and educational.

My 8yo wanted a watch and step counter, we got this for her and it is a great size, good quality and she likes the different screens she can change on it. She likes seeing how active she was during the day, and having a watch to keep track of time. It has worked great for us.

My 9 year old daughter loves it. She is obsessed with seeing how many steps she can get in a day. Easy way for me to make sure she is getting a good amount of sleep. So far we’ve tested it out at the pool, in a hot tub, playing soccer, and on multiple bike rides. Works very well. That said… 7 day battery charge is a joke. Kids love checking their steps so we get about 3 days at most our of the charge.

My 9 y/o had a FitBit Ace 3 that stopped working, so this review is more a comparison between the two. Bought the Vigor 2 to replace the broken Ace3 and another one for my 6 y/o.
The build quality is way better. It has a colour screen so that’s a win too.
The app is good and the installation and configuration was a breeze. No need to create accounts or anything, just create the child’s profile and add the device to with that profile. You can have multiple profiles with multiple children. Ideal!
Both my kids are loving it. This is a great learning opportunity for a ~6 year-old, it encourages them to learn to read time and to get a better grasp of 1 minute to a few minutes to 1 hour etc. It also encourages them to walk more and exercise as they love to see the step counter go up and they log when they get medals for their achievements, which are displayed on their watch as they earn then and on the app.

Bonjour,

I’ve been wanting to get a watch that would also track my daily step count, heart rate, activity levels, and sleep monitoring but I also wanted a light purple one but I wasn’t really able to find many made for adults so I looked into ones for kids and teens and I found exactly what I wanted and in the color I wanted at a way more affordable price point. This one was about $20 cheaper than the ones for adults but basically does pretty much the same things. The color is beautiful and it’s comfortable to wear all day and most of the time I forget I’m wearing it. It’s easy to setup and download the app and pairing to my phone was a breeze. It charges up fast and holds it’s charge for quite awhile. The quality is superb and it seems to have excellent accuracy. It’s the perfect size especially for my tiny wrists and it’s not bulky and it’s incredibly lightweight. Its like a fun game every day seeing if I can beat the previous days step count.

Our son has had two Fitbit trackers eaten by our dog so when we needed to replace it I didn’t want to spend a lot of money again. The Vigor 2 gets a lot of things right. The tracker is made for kids. It’s got a comfortable and flexible strap that works really well for little arms. The display is bright and easy to read too. The step tracking and fitness features are on par with the Fitbit which is a nice surprise. Where this tracker falls short is the app. The app feels really limited. The FAQs say you can connect to Apple Health but so far I’ve found no way to do that which limits the ability to sync with other apps. The setup wasn’t difficult but you do need to set up an account. There’s a confusing bit in the app where you can create family accounts but it doesn’t really give a clear indication of what you’d do with the accounts.
There’s battery life is great, charging is fast, and the feature set all seems to be there. What keeps this from being a 5 star product is definitely the app. Hopefully it’ll be improved in the future. Would recommend as an inexpensive option for younger kids who are interested in getting started on their fitness journey.

Also App installiert, verbunden, Konto angelegt, das ganze Blabla. Dauert bisschen.

This fitness tracker is just what I’ve been looking for. If you have a kiddo that wants a fitness tracker or smart watch, then this is the perfect starter item for them. It was super easy to set up. It comes in a handful of different colors. It has a great display that is very touch responsive. You can select different workout types, set alarms, monitor sleep, track heart rate and, of course, count steps. This is a perfect watch, activity tracker combo. It’s simple, but still offers many features. I definitely recommend this item!

Was a little disappointed that this didn’t even make it 12 hours.

I bought two of these for my 6 and 9 year olds. They both love them and enjoy the ease of tracking their steps throughout the day. They are slim and sleek and don’t get in the way. I gave 4 stars only because I had a hard time figuring out how to charge it. Overall, a good value.
