I purchased this Slimcycle because I’ve been walking everyday inside (walk away the pounds with Leslie Sansone) and outside weather permitting, and wanted a cycle to break the monotony. I wanted a recumbant bike but had little space in our apartment so when I saw this I thought it might be a great option. I had some concerns when reading the reviews about the customer service so I purchased an extended warranty/service contract just to be safe at a very reasonable price (around $16 I believe). The bike arrived VERY quickly within 1-2 days! Everything was in pristine condition, and all the equipment/parts were in the box. My husband laid everything out for me but I told him I wanted to put it together so I could write a review about how the assembly went. I had watched the assembly video on amazon when shopping so I just pulled out the manual and cued up my video and away I went – the only discrepency I noticed was that in the video they show the assemblyman attacking a support bar to the front of the main unit (even though they are telling you to attach it to the back verbally) but in the book it was very clear, so I went by the book so that the rollers were on the front end of the bike not the back. Other than that everything went like clockwork and was very easy for a 49 year old woman to put together (without an extra set of hands to help) in about 1 1/2hrs start to finish.
Now as to the stability of the unit – I found it to feel very sturdy and I am about 240lbs. My husband also tried it out and found it adjusted well for his height and 280lb frame. The seat cushion is firm, but it is firm in the right place – not on the tailbone or pubic bone, but on the soft padded parts of your backside, of course if you are not padded much it might start to feel a bit too firm before long, but I’ll take that anyday over the other options! I’ve done a 40 minute ride, and a 20 minute ride so far and used various resistances but it is very smooth and quiet in every setting. I wouldn’t feel secure standing when cycling on this bike personally, but I have seen videos where others have done so. My 12 y/o 120lb son tried that and didn’t seem to have any trouble. I do not see anywhere in the instructions that they do not recommend this either, but in my gutt I don’t feel that this bike is designed for that “spinning” style of bike riding, the pedaling mechanism is not designed for high speed/transitions but more for consistent steady paces and my fear would be that it would reduce the life of the mechanism if ridden hard like that. The bands are a great addition and I love that I can increase my HR in intervals while riding by using the arms while still feeling stable, and well supported with the lumbar style back rest (which also conveniently allows for freedom of upper body movement when using the bands).
All in all, this is a great little “as advertised” bike that seems well made with the great option of 2 styles of stationary bike. It folds up easily and smoothly to be moved wherever you need it to be. It doesn’t weigh so much that it’s a burden to move it. the only drawback I have found in the few days I’ve had it is that unless you are in the hightest stationary bike setting (not recumbant position) you have difficulty reading the digital display because it lays so flat when in the recumbant position. I also wish the seat adjuster was a pull-out spring loaded style knob instead of one you have to unscrew all the way to raise and lower the seat. It’s not a major deal, just a personal preference.

La bicicleta llegó a los tres días, dos semanas antes de la fecha indicada. Las piezas llegaron en perfecto estado y protegidas. Las instrucciones de montaje vienen en español y en inglés, incluyen las herramientas necesarias y, aunque se tarda un tiempo en montar (45 min. en nuestro caso), las instrucciones se entienden perfectamente y todo funciona a la primera. Los acabados son de calidad, la bicicleta se transporta bien gracias a dos ruedas en la parte delantera, se puede doblar para ocupar poco espacio y es muy silenciosa. En mi opinión los 8 niveles de resistencia son más que suficientes. Yo mido 185cm y no encuentro la postura perfecta para estirar las piernas durante el pedaleo como en una bicicleta de montaña, pero es la primera bicicleta estática que tengo y desconozco si es lo habitual o no, mi mujer que tiene menos altura está encantada. No es de las bicicletas más baratas del mercado, pero estamos más que contentos con la compra.

Finally received my slim cycle and was eager to get started but super disappointed to find the main frame part defective! The part on the main frame where the handle bar goes in is bent and hence holes where the screws need to go in are misaligned. I’ve tried to fit it in anyway or use something to bend the part back but couldn’t do it. Super bummed that this defective part is on the main frame rather than another part. I have contacted the seller and now hoping they can help replace this easily and quickly. Will report back when I hear back from them.
Update: The seller responded that they did not have any replacement parts available and that I would have the option of returning the product for refund or trying to make the defective part work in exchange for a partial refund. I chose the latter since returning the product would mean that I would have to pack this all up and drop it off at a return location as the seller cannot pick up the return product from my apt. Luckily I was able to make the defective part work by bending back the connection part and assembled the bike. As others have already noted, the assembly instructions are really easy.
I’ve been using it almost every day since I got it or so, and everything felt pretty smooth. I am not sure if it’s bcs I have carpet, it’s hard to not “rock” the seat a bit when biking, I am going to try to put a hard flat surface underneath to see if it would minimize the rocking motion. As for the dashboard, I can’t comment on the accuracy of distance, calories, or heart rate because I didn’t test them. The display basically can show you 4 digits, usually with one decimal point…and the annoying thing is that for calories, once it gets to 999.9, rather than just show 1000 w/o the decimal point, it can’t do that, it would just go back to 0.0 and start all over again.
Overall satisfied with my purchase. Updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars.

Ocupa muy poco espacio, es muy silenciosa y es una muy buena opción para hacer ejercicio en casa. Trae unas cuerdas de resistencia para hacer ejercicio de brazo y las encuentro muy útiles. Altamente recomendado teniendo en cuenta que soy una persona liviana y de baja estatura. No se para alguien muy alto o pesado si funcione bien.

Soy una mujer de 62 años y necesito hacer ejercicio por recomendación médica, nunca he sido deportista. Mis hijos me animaron a adquirir la bici y no me arrepiento. La armé yo sola en 20 min. está muy fácil y trae todo lo que pudieras necesitar. Es muy ligera y fácil de trasladar, además el diseño es muy bonito. La puedes calibrar sin problema. La recomiendo mucho, fue una muy buena compra.
