I bought this to improve my balance. It was highly recommended by my Osteopath (D.O.). From an ergonomic perspective this size is too large for sitting on so I would recommend the smaller size for sitting. In addition to balance improvement this size could provide comfortable back support for a person 5’10” & above while seated. I love mine ! (FYI, I am 5’2” tall). It does NOT come with instructions of any kind or it’s own pump so if you don’t have experience with these types of inflatables you’ll need to use a needle tip on your pump to inflate.

It may look a bit silly, but this little seat is a serious force for good posture and greatly diminished lower-back pain. A massage therapist recommended this to me as an alternative to swapping out my otherwise-pleasant office chair for a balance ball. I’ve been using it at work for about six weeks and am experiencing far less pain than previously, even when the job requires extended stays at my desk. Getting used to it took a few days — it adds a little height, and of course it’s designed to cause you to make very small shifts in balances more or less constantly — but once that’s over it simply fades into the background of your day. (Until your co-workers give it a funny look, at which time you explain that this is the sort of seat they use to help small children improve their concentration in class. Then they give you a funnier look, but it’s no longer about the seat…I digress.)
And if I hadn’t previously realized what a difference the Cando was making to my comfort, a stint of working from home last week sealed the deal — a couple of days without it and my back hurt as *least* as much as it had before. The obvious solution is to get another Cando and be happy everywhere. That’s precisely what I intend to do!

Overall the balance ball seems to be good quality. My only complaint is that it does not include an air pump to inflate it. You’d think that paying $45 would include one as many of the smaller and less expensive ones seem to include it.

Exactly what I was looking for, have used it a few times already. It comes only slightly inflated, and I tried to use it that way, but decided to add more air. It comes with one of those needle air adapters, but no pump, which I knew. You can use a bicycle pump or a air compressor to put more air into it. Many reviewers stated that they could not get more air into the cushion, well it is tricky to get the needle into the adapter port in the cushion. You have to pinch it and insert the needle ALL of the way in. Then it inflates with ease.
I am using it to improve my balance and strengthen my legs and core. I need to do this for both exercise and for making it easier for me to use my Stand Up Surf Board. Only thing is I would like it to be a little larger in diameter, but it does allow me to use both feet on it, so not an issue.
As to the weight it can handle, I am six feet tall and 200 lbs, and it holds me with no issue, and appears to maintain the air pressure I put in it. It appears to be a well made product, I would have no problem recommending it to friends and family.

After seeing a doggy chiropractor for my aging pupper, he suggested something like this to build strength in her little frog butt. It’s working so well. She is getting quite the chonky donk from her glute work. Noice!

After I filled it air, it had several creases along the edges, which really had no affect. After a couple of weeks, I needed to add air into it. I progressively lost air faster. By month 4 needed daily air refill. By month 5 I had to refill it every few minutes. The air was coming out of the hole you use to fill it, which was clean and no tears. I’m going to look for a different brand or a different material or maybe a balance disc made of wood.

Very well made. Large enough for my purposes. Very thick, sturdy material. Great for dog rehab exercises! Much cheaper than FitPaw equipment that is made for dogs.

I have tried several large balance discs. This one is the best by far. It actually has the correct hole for using a needle type inflator. It has a non slip surface. It blows up properly and works perfectly. I have tried the “JFIT Inflatable Balance and Stability Disc – Largest in Industry 26” and it was so slippery it was dangerous and you had to remove a plug and blow it up with your mouth, no inflatable needle hole. Don’t buy that one. I also tried a hard plastic one by “Kore Design Floor Wobbler Balance Disc 19” and it was too easy to use for balancing exercises (one to buy for beginners?). This is the one to buy.

Edit: I am editing this review. I took my physical therapists advice of filling it until it gets some shape then letting it sit out. I used it as best as I could durring this time as well and it eventually worked it’s problems out for the most part. There’s still some dimpling but not nearly as bad.
When I inflated this it caused a few really big buckles that I can’t get rid of. More air makes it worse and less air also doesn’t help. Not worth the money at all and I will be trying to get a refund or returning it because it’s not functional.

The 24po diameter model is ok for my 90lb dog.
