This has been so helpful. I have artificial hips and one artificial knee. Jogging is out of the question and riding a regular bike in my area of the country is also not an easy option. Purchased this because it’s compact and portable (can use it in a hotel room watching TV). Little did I know it would greatly improve the quality of my health. About a year after retirement I was having a laundry list of health problems; lack of energy, swollen ankles, depressed mood, etc. Started using the exerciser twice a day for 1/2 hour each time. No more swollen ankles, have normal energy, no more “blue” days and overall feel fine.

This pedal exerciser arrived quickly and seemed great for the first two months. I used it daily in the comfort of my home and worked my way up to 30 minutes of vigorous exercise/day. Helped my knees and hip pain enormously. Satisfying heft and stability. Great find! Then, in the middle of a session the left pedal fell off. The foot strap froze in place. Several days of repeatedly trying to fix it to no avail. Now i have to find time to follow up with the company. Disappointed.

I am not pleased with Pedal Exerciser at all. I can’t get it to stay stationary while I pedal. We have hardwood floors and it slides when I try to pedal. I’ve tried using rug and mat and it still slides. A waste of money for my purposes.

Bought this for my Mom. She had a stroke about 11 years ago, and she needs more exercise. Walking is difficult, especially for a few months this year when she broke her back and had to wear a brace. While at the rehab facility, she mentioned that she liked doing the bike exercises they had her doing. Of course the machine she was using was about $5,000. I discussed alternatives with the therapists, and they showed me one like this that they had at the facility. We had her try it, and she liked it, so I got the info and went out to Amazon to find it. It’s a really nice, sturdy little bike, and she seems to enjoy using it. At this point, we are just trying to keep her legs strong so she can transfer to and from bed, etc. The brace is off now, but she isn’t walking a lot yet, and is in her wheelchair most of the time. This bike helps to keep her legs moving and strong. And she actually uses it! And the price was good, especially compared to the $5,000 model!

I looked a long time for one of these as I get over an ankle injury. Most are flimsy and use belts. This has magnetic resistance and is very solid and runs smoothly. Definitely worth the money if you intend to use it for more than a few weeks.

I was looking for a quality pedal exerciser that was made in the USA, to replace the cheap foreign imported one that I got for Christmas (which had been used for over 2 months until it was breaking down). When I phoned a representative of the manufacturer of this item (Chattanooga/ Cando), he informed me that although they had no current pedal exercisers made in the United States, that this discontinued model was made in the USA. I bought it new from this seller, and it arrived in good condition, but the box and the machine both say “Made in Taiwan”. Maybe some of the earlier units were made here, but then they switched it to overseas? Anyways, it works very nice: very smooth pedaling, quiet, and very stable, even on a carpeted surface. Just wanted to let you know that if you’re like me and you try to buy domestically made products, before you buy this, you might want to ask if the unit’s box is labeled “Made in the USA” or “Made in Taiwan”. There were other Amazon sellers that were selling this same exerciser for a higher price when I bought this one, and now I’m thinking that maybe the country of manufacture is why.
Bottom line: It is much nicer than the cheap ones that just have a resistance knob that merely forces a bolt into the center axle (eventually destroying it). This one has a resistance knob that increases or decreases the resistance by using a magnet which doesn’t touch the axle but merely gets closer to it or farther from it, which adjusts the difficulty. Much simpler and easier, and (I hope) longer-lasting.

Great price, sturdy product. Easy to move around too.

At this price point, good quality, good performance.
If, I added a feature, I would want to add higher resistance options.
Solid machine. Buy it.

I purchased this after having subacromial decompression surgery on my shoulder as well as “manipulation under anesthesia”. This was my second surgery in 2 years on the same shoulder. The first thing my physical therapist would do when I arrived at my appt was put me on an arm bicycle for 6-7 minutes. It really helped loosen up my shoulder. So I decided to purchase my own to use at home. I really like this machine. It’s easy to use and helps loosen up my shoulder. The only thing I wish was that the rotations were a tad bit larger, as it doesn’t move quite as much as my PT one. But overall, I use it 3-4 times a week and it seems to be helping. It works as intended and I would recommend it.

Perfect for post surgery rehab. Can find a comfortable position in a nice chair. A stationary bike or a recumbent stationary would not have been easy or able to use, at least initially. And it is easy to hide away

Très bonne qualité et bonne exercice
