Mostly I don’t like how despite having a built-in screen, a lot of the functionality is tied to the mobile app. The ECG focuses more on heart rate than the actual voltage, which it won’t even tell you. Graph axes are not labeled. I’m kind of skeptical about the whole thing.

Not easy to link to app. Machine turns on and reads your heart, not easy to hold onto and keep placed in your hands. Not sure readings are accurate- kept telling me to see the dr. Went to cardiologist to confirm. Not the same reading he was getting. Not a dependable device.

I picked up the ChoiceMMed ECG Monitor to provide the ECG functionality as my new fitness tracker does not include an ECG feature. The ChoiceMMed monitor was well packaged. It generates ECG traces and also provides information my prior tracker did not. It took some work to figure out how to get the ECG readings – the documentation is very poor.
The first couple of 30 second tests I ran on the monitor showed only an average heartbeat at the end of the test. I was expecting to see an ECG trace on the monitor, but there is no way to generate one on the monitor. I then went to the documentation, and reading it cover-to-cover, it did mention anywhere in the document about generating an ECG trace or any application to use with the monitor. I finally went back to the Amazon website where I ordered the monitor, and it mentioned an iChoice application. I was able to find an iChoice app in the phone store that listed ECG as an option. I installed that app and the monitor was able to transmit the data it recorded to the app and the app was able to generate the ECG trace.
When the test measurement finishes, it indicates Analyzing on the display, followed some seconds later by Saving on the display. It takes a bit of getting used to, as the test seems complete after Analyzing finishes, but if you click on any button before the saving operation starts and completes, no data is saved.
The high/low heart rate (bpm) recorded by the ECG analysis for the 30 second test are a bit wacky, but the average bpm is correct. For example, the low for one test is recorded as 33 bpm while the high in the same 30 second window is 227, but the average of 72 seems about right for the time the test was done. I would have had more confidence in the test results if I had not seen these high/low values.
I am still trying to figure out how to successfully run the Continuous style measurement. The test starts the same as the 30 second test, but there does not seem to be a way to indicate when the test should stop. The documentation indicates the menu or OK button can be used to exit measurement mode, and either button terminates the continuous measurement, but then no data is saved.
When the monitor syncs with the app, it deletes the data stored under Data Measurement and the historical count drops to 000/200. This data is stored by the iChoice app on the phone and is available for review.
I tried using the alternate chest measurement mode (device contact on one side pressed against the chest, the contact on the other side pressed against the hand) but had trouble getting it to measure the ECG, or if a measurement occurred, the Data Review screen would give the error message, “Incorrect measurement, Follow the instruction manuals and measure again.”

Does not produce an ECG, only your heart rate. I can do that with a finger and a stopwatch–I don’t need this little piece of junk to do that. I’ve tried every setting on this device and there is no ECG readout. I don’t know what the five-star reviewers are seeing, but I would love for one of them to post steps to get an ECG measurement and a photo of the resulting graph. I suspect they didn’t actually use the thing. Get a Kardia Mobile–it actually works.

If you’ve ever thought that your hearts rhythm and beat is a little off, then this medical device may help you visualize whats going on. This unit runs on 2 (included) triple A batteries and comes with a nice, soft storage bag.
This device is easy to use and the instructions in the App will help you sync the device to the app in no time.
Simply hold the ChoiceMMed Handheld ECG Monitor in your hands, making sure the palms of your hand make good contact with the 2 metal pads on both ends. The monitor measures and records your heart rate and your heart rhythm in just 30 seconds.
This device (via the app) provides a heart rate analysis graph, showing just how your heart is working. By downloading the free iChoice app, this unit links to your smart phone via Bluetooth and records all of your data. And it can store up to 200 records/scans, that you can show to your medical professional.
And while it is not a replacement for a visit to your local MD or healthcare professional. It can provide you with a real look at how your heart is functioning and will even advise you to take immediate action if it detects anything abnormal.
I believe that the information and piece of mind that this medical device can give you, is well worth the price.

This little machine does work but it must be paired with the app. As with any device which requires skill the user needs to first learn to use the machine, to properly apply it, and to understand and know what to do with the results. And also to be able to know if the device is working properly. I think that it is a disservice to market this to laypeople because most non medical people are just not properly prepared to use it. This is something that might be useful on an ambulance or in the emergency room or a clinic. Where the user can understand a reading and know what to do about a problem rhythm. While I like this device, I can only recommend it only to persons who are prepared to use it properly.

This is a great tool for keeping up with your health. If you want to know how your heart is beating then this device is for you. It is easy to use and you get the results fast. Seems to be accurate and is small enough to take with you on the go.

It only measure heart rate (beats per minute), no ECG recording or storing. No link to an app that you could possibly download to maybe send data to. Read the entire manual. No mention of how to get EKG or ECG reading. Returning.
