Does using the Daiwa Felicity Original Chi Swing Machine making me healthier every time I use it? Or does it just make me feel really really good. Whatever it’s doing, I love this little contraption, and can’t wait to use it every day. In fact, since it arrived, I’ve been using it twice a day. I find it to be incredibly relaxing. I had expected it to be fairly loud, considering that it has to be powerful enough to swing one’s legs from side-to-side. Surprisingly, it’s not! There have been many times during use when I’ve become unaware that I’m using it, and simply drift off into what I’d call a “waking dream.”
I first heard about the “chi machine” when I picked up the series, “Breaking Bad” on DVD at the local library four years ago. You could rewatch each episode with voiceover commentary from the actors, directors, writers…and from the series creator, Vince Gilligan…which commentary didn’t always necessarily have to do with the action onscreen. It was during one of these commentaries that Gilligan mentioned his Chi machine, in passing. Although I can’t remember now exactly what he said, it made enough of an impression on me that I decided I’d like to “try one of those thingamajigs one of these days.”
And recently, that’s exactly what I did…with a portion of my latest stimulus check. Is it worth the hundred and thirty-six bucks I paid (including tax)? Absolutely! Although the benefit-to-cost ratio is excellent, the real test will be whether the machine holds up to two 15-minute sessions a day for months and months. If it lasts for, say, five years…I’ll likely buy another. (Who am I kidding? If it lasts TWO years, I’ll buy another. The thing is addictive!)

Nice machine. Not to loud and I think and feel it working.

I love this item in theory, but in practice, it’s not a perfect fit. The spacing is not adjustable in terms of where your ankles sit/fit into the machine. The ankles are spaced about 2” apart. Ideally, this machine would feel incredible if the position of the feet were about equal to the space/position of your hips and pelvis, which is much wider apart than 2”. I wish the position of the ankles could be adjusted. In my own body this would amount to approximately 7-8” of space between my ankles. Also, because one of my hips is more externally rotated than the other, I find I need to tie my legs together with a yoga strap when using this machine. Otherwise, my more externally rotated leg flops around very unevenly from its partner! It does feel good, but I think it would feel much better and relieve my low back of the machine slowed for my legs to be separated a little wider apart.

I love it, it works as promised. It’s little hard on the ankles, though.
I put a folded towel over the holders because they aren’t soft enough, and the discomfort prevents me from relaxing completely.

This is the best thing I’ve ever received for my health that did exactly what I was expecting it to do. I feel so much better that I have complete confidence that I will be able to avoid lumbar surgery next week and at the very least, postpone the surgery😊

I severed the peroneal nerve in my left leg in a bad fall in 2015. I’m 50 years old and in the 5 years since the accident I have suffered a tremendous amount of pain in my leg, and I’ve also lost some sensitivity so I have a weak foot. Now the stiffness has set in. With the help of a neurologist, physical therapist and a pain specialist these last 5 years I have been able to get back to a fairly normal life. However, the one thing that drives me nuts is swelling in my leg. Some days it is so bad it hurts and feels like a balloon. I wear compression socks every day and practice weight-bearing exercise and elevation. But the one thing I was missing is this little guy, the chi swinger. The instant I first put my ankles in the cradle, laid back on the floor and switched this thing on, I knew my life was forever changed. Exercise is of course very important and this will not replace exercise. But what this allows you to do is fully relax. The quiet rhythm puts me in a state of meditation and really helps me focus my mind. This machine can be set on low, medium, and even high, which is quite fast and invigorating! I actually do feel a sort of energy running through me after using it. I guess that is my chi! I’m sad to see the item has sold out as I was going to purchase one for my 80-year-old mother. I am still taking the time to write a review in the hopes this seller will bring the item back and others can experience the joy this little item can bring.

I’ve had this for 4 weeks. I am 72 years old with MS in remission and scoliosis. My ankles were swollen and I didn’t exercise much at all. I walk with a cane when I am out and about. I got the Swing Master Chi Machine, Model US1201 because I wanted something that would give me an aerobic workout, which would also help with circulation problems and I liked that it was variable speed. My ankles are not so swollen now. My right ankle looks normal and my left ankle, which suffered a fall a few years ago, is looking close to normal. At the end of the day, there is a little swelling in both of them but not much.
I seem to have more energy and more stamina. At first, I thought it was my imagination. I still have to pace myself but I am getting more accomplished throughout the day now. I started out on the low speed for not many minutes but gradually increased it. I am just shy of using the highest speed for the full 15 minutes but do ramp it up a few minutes during that time. I do two 15 minute sessions–one in the morning and one in the evening. Yes, like all exercise, I feel sore and have to use moderation.
During this 4 week period, at times I’ve not done a full 15 minute session, instead I did a 5 minute session or a 10 minute session twice a day or even once a day. A few days I skipped because I felt too tired. With that said, it is great there is so much control over the period of time you do it and the speed levels. I find it both relaxing and invigorating when I’m on it. The price was affordable on my fixed income and I am glad I bought it.
