Bought in August 2024 and I have had a Fitbit like this before that lasted many years. I am super bummed this is not working. Guess I need to look for another product!! Started messing up after the return date.

Not sure why it arrived with a mostly dead battery, disappointing. Also following all the instructions, the android will find the ZIP but the phone app says it needs to sync. It is only useful for looking at to see you mileage for the day, does not sync to keep track of it for the week or to be able to use for your health connections. I did follow all the instructions, have uninstalled and reinstalled. Very disappointing for the price.

I bought two of these at Christmas, one for me and one for my best friend. For me, it is perfect and has helped me fine tune my fitness goals and caloric intake. It syncs with the free app My Fitness Pal to adjust my calorie allotment based on my actual day to day fitness level. I have an iphone (4s) and this all works seamlessly and easily via bluetooth. My friend is less trusting of her devices and uses this along with a forearm heart rate monitor and a nike fuel band. She gets vastly different results with each and finds this frustrating. (IMHO, pick one, use it) Additionally, she has an android phone and finds both this device and my fitness pal to be more tedious and awkward than I do with the iphone. If you aren’t sure how active you are, or you need some kind of visual cue to motivate you, I recommend this product. I find myself walking the dogs farther, taking the trash out willingly, and parking farther from the door to get more steps in…you can add friends and “compete” if that is fun for you.

Simple d’utilisation. Je recommande.

I needed some encouragement to be more active. The Fibit Zip allowed me to tangibly see how inactive I had become. I soon realized I was only walking about 1,200-2,500 steps a day. In my mind, I was moderately active as I spent a good portion of my day on my feet cooking and cleaning, so this was quite a shocking revelation. It turns out, my day consists of a lot of standing, so while I may not be lounging all day, I’m certainly not expending a ton of energy. Here are some of the lifestyle changes it inspired:
-I now park my car in the outmost part of the parking lot
-I pace around my house in 10 minute spurts to get another 1,000 steps
-I get up and walk in place during commercial breaks
-I walk around different grocery stores comparing prices (getting steps in and saving $$)
-I go on nightly walks and dont stop until I hit 10,000
-I’m much more motivated to clean knowing I’m getting valuable steps in
It has become a personal challenge to find ways to sneak extra steps in. I am so pleased with the purchase for the awareness it has provided me. Highly recommend!

Rather than have lots of other features, I just wanted something to keep a track of the steps I take. And that’s exactly what this clever little bit of tech does.
However, there are lots of bonuses. It does give you the associated mileage, calories burnt and the time of day. And then there’s the app for your phone & the one for your computer which provides interesting & useful reports, plus platforms for adding lots of other information, if you wish, about yourself, stride length, food intake, other activities and so on.
The tracker syncs up very efficiently with your phone & computer via bluetooth & I find this facility motivates me even more to keep active. For example, the tracker cleverly works out the number of minutes you are active. I found that going shopping for 20 minutes resulted in only a couple of active minutes. Equally, a round of golf lasting 4 hours resulted in under 2.5 active hours. When you think about it, this is about right I would say.
Then there’s the opportunity to join like minded groups. Doing that helped motivation again as it’s nice to see where you are in the league table of your chosen group(s).
The tracker itself is very small & changing between the 4 modes couldn’t be easier – you just tap the unit. The little rubberised case it comes with provides excellent protection & has an extremely strong clip which helps to make sure you don’t lose it.
Battery life I can’t comment on yet as I’ve only had it a few weeks.
Overall, if you want a nice straightforward step tracker that looks nice, works well & is well supported via the app then this is the one for you.

This is my second Fitbit Zip. The first one was always in my pocket and one day it disappeared when I pulled my keys out of the same pocket and it fell to the ground. I never even knew it was gone until I went looking for it to sync to my computer. I ordered this as a replacement. I love it. My only negative was that I ordered it from Amazon thinking I’d have it in a couple of days. Didn’t realize until I got the confirmation that it was coming from the UK and would take almost a month to get here. I would never buy one online again.

My fourth Fitbit! I enjoy the size and then I can wear it and be inconspicuous!
