I am honestly so split on this product, so I’ll just lay out the pros and cons and let you use the information as you see fit.
Pros:
-Waterproof, so you can wear it while doing dishes or something similar without either having to let it dry or pushing through hours of a damp cloth wristband (I can’t speak for the Hydroknit as I’ve never shelled out the $40+ for one, but the generic/base Whoop band feels gross when damp and takes forever to dry when being actively worn).
-The color assortment is significantly more attractive than the base Whoop band (the pastel pink and mint green are very tempting), and I personally find the design of the FITCENT band to be the most attractive amongst the various similar options available on Amazon.
-The Whoop unit itself does stay securely within the band’s holder once inserted.
-The price is excellent.
Cons:
-The band traps moisture, so you will need to remove the band and dry it and your wrist after any activity where it gets wet. Even washing your hands with the band on will result in moisture/dampness being trapped under the band until you resolve it, as the band itself is non-absorbent.
-If you’re someone who lives in a hard water area, the above factor means you may see visible mineral buildup from the trapped hard water very quickly; I noticed it within a day of wear. Either pick a lighter color band or make sure that you remove and dry the band any time it gets wet/damp, because the buildup looks gross.
-The charger DOES NOT FIT EASILY on this band. It is a major struggle to get the charger on while the Whoop is still inserted in the band, to the point that I started just removing the Whoop because I was sure that the band was going to get torn up during my attempts to add/remove the charger. For reference, I have one of the newer 4.0 chargers, the translucent blue one. I don’t think they’ve made any design changes on the battery pack recently, but it was not playing well with this strap at all.
-The band is not as comfortable as other silicone wrist/watchbands I’ve tried. I couldn’t tell you the issue causing the difference; it just feels “heavier” and more present than the basic Whoop band or even my random other branded step tracking watch with a similar silicone band. It was actually kind of annoying to wear while gaming on a keyboard/mouse setup, for example, because I felt like it was thick enough to impede my movement a bit.
-The band is more “noticeable” when sleeping compared to fabric Whoop bands, causing me to wake up on occasion because it was putting pressure on my wrist in a strange way while sleeping. I am a stomach sleeper, so this may not be as much of an issue for people who sleep on their back.
So overall, I think this is an average option. I do REALLY like the pink color, so even with the above issues, I’m tempted to buy the pink color and use it specifically for days where I’m doing a bunch of cleaning and want to wear the Whoop but don’t want to deal with the gross damp Whoop fabric strap. But for general daily and sleep wear, I don’t think this is the one for me.

I order one of these just to see if I liked it. I actually love it. I love it so much more than the actual Whoop band. It feels more durable and much more comfortable to wear after getting wet. And it is a 3rd of the cost! I will be buying more colors.

Pros:
– Compatible with both Whoop 4.0 and Whoop 3.0
– Made of super soft materials, ensuring comfort during wear even during intense physical activities or extended periods.
– Adjustable design allows for a customized fit, accommodating various wrist sizes and preferences for tightness.
– Secure closure mechanism ensures that the Whoop stays in place during workouts or daily activities, reducing the risk of loss or misplacement.
Cons:
– Limited compatibility
– Would prefer additional color options to match different preferences or outfits.
– The soft material is prone to wear and tear much faster than the fabric straps requiring periodic replacement for optimal performance.
– Silicone is really really soft and the pieces move around a bit too much.
