I don’t have much to compare it with but this rowing machine is just like it’s described.
Light weight but sturdy; seat is comfortable and super quiet, and the tension is easily adjusted.
Hubby put it together and I didn’t hear him swearing so it probably was easy.

I had one many years ago. When it broke I never replaced it. I used the one at the gym from time to time. This is perfect for a quick (full body) morning workout. It’s perfect for those who prefer to workout in their own home. I have some arthritis and lower back pain from time to time and I find that rowing helps to alleviate the fatigue in certain areas. The multiple function knob on the jack allows me full accommodation from low impact to high impact to suit my personal needs. I don’t really use the monitor but it is nice if you like that kind of feature. If you’re looking for a compact full body rower with multiple functions at a very reasonable price, you may want to grab one of these while they are available. It is well worth the money invested. It may be small but mighty for having one jack. No gym, all around quick workout for people on the go. If your considering starting a new workout regimen, I suggest buying this rower. Don’t forget to check the size and weight accommodation as some machines are made for certain weight proportions. I am not sure about this one. I apologize. I can not remember. If you don’t care for it you can always return it. Personally, I love mine and I’m sure that you will love yours. It’s a little powerhouse and the compact size is suitable for a small apt., efficiency, dorm and workout area in your den. Great gift idea for a a teenager that is just starting to workout or wants to get a quick morning workout in to start their day!

Nothing fancy, but works great. I will say, I am a beginner and started about halfway through the resistance so be aware. Makes very little noise, lightweight and easy to move around the room. Instructions were easy to follow and set up was fast. Definitely worth the price

This was a snap to put together – well labeled parts (start even labeled front and back) and took 20 min including unboxing.
Seat is pretty comfortable and the resistance is suitable for beginners at the lightest level and goes up pretty hard.
It is well made, but yet light enough to move around. I have it in the guest bedroom but I can easily move it on my own and I am elderly and disabled.
For any people wanting cardio and upper body but who can do a lot of standing or put a lot of stress on feet or knees, this is a decent choice for the price

I got this rowing machine as a lightning deal for only $149, so it was an amazing deal. I was really impressed from the moment that I started pulling pieces out of the box. Everything was packaged and padded with the utmost care so there were NO scratched or dented pieces. It took about 30 minutes to put together and no tools needed other than what came in the box.
I was worried that the movement would be awkward or that the machine would feel cheap, but wow, the hydraulic rowing arms were so smooth. I was really pleasantly surprised by how solid and high quality it felt.
The fact that it folds down pretty flat and is light and small enough for me to pick up and move around the house is a plus.
The only thing that I would point out is that if you are really short then the hydraulic rowing arms (not sure if that’s the correct term) might feel a bit high, which would make it a bit awkward. The display is also very simple, so don’t expect anything fancy there. Admittedly, I didn’t read the directions so maybe there is a way to delete the total count of strokes, but I don’t understand why it keeps the total strokes you’ve ever done even after I hold down the button to reset the display.
I would highly recommend this rowing machine! Great price for a perfectly functional piece of equipment.

63 year old woman here. I’ve been using this machine for 45 days. Here are my observations:
Pros:
Assembly: Super easy to assemble. I was able to assemble it myself in about 15 minutes. Instructions were easy to follow and the assembly parts were clearly marked and the screws etc. were shrink wrapped and clearly marked. One of the easiest assembly projects I’ve had.
Weight: This is surprising light weight and extremely sturdy. I’m currently in between two residences and I’m able to easily carry it out to my car (Honda CR-V) and drive it back and forth, carrying it back into the other residence. I’ve been doing this for the first 45 days and I’ve had no issues. Odd as this sounds, it’s almost portable. Would be nice if there were an additional component to fold it up, but otherwise, it’s so lightweight, you could take it anywhere, provided you could fit it into your car. It’s about 4 1/2 feet in length for reference.
Use: I’ve never used a rowing machine before, so I’m a beginner. I’ve been able to slowly work up to 50 minutes, every other day. The unit that keeps track of time, rows, calories is easy to read. It flows with my movements and doesn’t feel awkward – extremely easy for me to use. I’m also able to adjust the resistance and feel confident I’ll be able to increase my resistance and increase my upper body strength over time – a fitness goal of mine.
Possible Cons:
I’m extremely short (5 foot, 2 inch). It’s perfect for my size. That said, someone who has longer legs may have issues? Not sure if the height of the hand bar section is adjustable? Doesn’t seem to be? Sorry – I already threw away the instructions because it was working for me. If this is inaccurate, please let other reviewers know.
10,000 count – once you hit 10,000 total rows, it resets to zero. Minor complaint – it would be nice if it supported a 5 character mask.
