Do not buy this product – ive had it for 2 months now and the screen and metrics no longer work. I tried to call to exchange the product and amazon is telling me the purchases cannot be exchanged or fixed.

Was reluctant to buy this as it only had one review, but it was very positive. My husband and I had been searching for a rower for our home gym. We wanted a C2 as we had both used them in the past, but could not stomach the price at this time, with having to buy other pricey equipment to complete our build. This has all the features of the C2 (chain drive, similar handle and seat/rail feel, air resistance instead of magnet). Build quality is probably a little less than C2, but no issues yet. Fairly easy to assemble, directions and all parts included. The monitor isn’t great, but gets the job done and for the price I can’t really complain. Overall, very happy with our purchase and glad we did not spend double just to get the C2 name.

I have had this rower for a few months and have put almost 100,000 strokes on it so far. The machine is a quality rower. It is basically a concept 2 rower. I have even referred to concept 2 for maintenance info. where this rower is lacking is the computer/display. Beyond time, stroke count and stroke rate, this computer is completely inaccurate. If you are doing workouts based on distance or watts you will not be able to compare with someone using a concept 2. That being said, this is a great rower that was about half the price of a concept 2.

Received the item today. Assembling was very easy, took only 30 minutes to assemble. It’s exactly similar to concept 2. I was using concept 2 in my gym and I didn’t see any differences between this item and concept 2. Highly recommended.

I love to row and really love the Concept 2 rowers at my gym. I wanted a rower for the days I don’t go to the gym that was comparable to a C2 without being the price of a C2. My musts were a chain driven rower with a damper for air resistance rather than a magnetic rope driven. I saw this one and it had a review from a fellow rower that sold me. It wasn’t terrible to put together at all. I did it all by myself without my husband helping me. I quickly did a 15 min session after putting it together and it was a smooth ride. The screen is decent and it has a place to hold a device if you’d like. I didn’t put anything on it yet because we have a tv in our basement, but I could see putting my phone or an iPad in the holder. The damper doesn’t move as smoothly as a C2, but otherwise they are very much alike and this one is almost half the price with the coupon. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat!

Update: after some good use with the rower wanted to leave an updated review. To keep it short, I stated this thing was like a C2 rower. It is, it is an air resistant rower and has the durability of C2. There is one downfall to it I do not like. It does not matter how hard you row or the force exerted, the machine will only account for 6 meters rowed at a time and calories accumulate at this slow rate as well. I feel like I do double if not triple the work on this rower to achieve cals in my wods vs what I would on a C2. Other than that no complaints.
I never take the time to leave reviews, but I had to for this rower. I am a CrossFitter and have a home gym I’ve built. This was the final piece of equipment to complete my gym at home with everything you could possible need for any WOD. (Even have a GHD machine so you understand I am serious) I knew I wanted an air resistance rower just like the Concept2 Model D we see used in the box and at the games. Couldn’t find one, not even a used one, reasonably priced in my area. Looked at this one for days trying to decide what to do, despite there being no prior reviews, part of why I am leaving one, it looked just like a C2 so I took a gamble and ordered. So glad I did! Arrived in 2 days, essentially no assembly required(very minimal) and it is just like a C2 we all use in the gym! Amazing rower and great price. Anyone who is looking for a C2 rower but not wanting to spend the $1,300 for it or even if you are willing to spend that much; don’t. Buy this rower instead, same quality and type of rower just half the price.

I am writing this having mainly only used a Concept 2 rower, which is why I bought this, since it is very similar.
I have only used the rower for a half hour so far, to get a workout in and to get a feel for the rower.
It seems like a pretty good machine for the money, there are a few minor things that make it seem slightly “cheaper” than a Concept 2.
The monitor for one, which other people have complained about, it is working just fine right out of the box, time will tell, I wish it would stay back lit so that it could be seen easier, but it seems like tilting it back slightly makes it much easier to read. But I suppose that would kill the batteries much quicker.
It would be interesting to figure out if a pm5 monitor could be retrofitted onto it. Something I will possibly look into.
The foot rest pads seem like a slightly harder plastic than a Concept 2, not a big deal, just an observation.
I would say that it if I didn’t know I wasn’t on a Concept 2 I wouldn’t know the difference except for the monitor and the handle feels slightly different.
All that being said, I can really only compare it to what I have used previously. If I didn’t know the difference I would say it’s a great rower. Also, maybe the new Concept 2 rowers are more similar to this than the slightly older ones that I have used.
The frame is very sturdy, it definitely seems well made.
I will update if things change.

I really like the product.

To be clear, I am writing this the day after receiving the rower so I will update this in a few months as obviously problems may occur. Like many I spent ages looking in to which rower was best for my needs. In my case being 125kg and 6’7″, I needed to choose with care. This rower “fits” me perfectly and is great to use. It seems to be rather similar to a Concept 2. It takes my weight easily and does no creak, bow or sag. It seems well made. So initially, I am very pleased.
