The wire on this adapter could be 3-4′ longer to reach receptacles without using an extension cord.

Lost my original AC plug in a move. Ordered this hoping it would fit my recumbent bike but it did not.

No doubt this unit was designed to work with exercise equipment, which was never my intentions for it when I ordered it. A Trail Cam specified it could be powered by a 6V 2A power supply, so when I searched on Amazon, this was the one that appeared. Others are listed, but with my search, this was the most suitable that appeared. So it works fine provided the power insert will fit your electronic device. In my case, an accessory tip was required, and fortunately I already had one from a power unit that didn’t provide the rather high amount of amperage required. So I am getting excellent service from this unit. Just keep in mind that using this power source for anything other than the electronics it matches may require purchasing a set of different size tips. You can do this simply by doing your own search and picking a unit that supplies its own assortment of power tips, and probably get the entire set at a third of the price of this one.

Why an exercise bike, treadmill, or hybrid trainer like I have doesn’t come with an AC adapter I’ll never understand. Seriously. Spend a few bucks and throw one in the box, otherwise all those great bells and whistles you add, like the pulse meter, intensity measurer, and resistance adjustment are not available without using D cell batteries. I used to have to change them out every couple of weeks, but now I don’t need them at all!

I have a Proform elliptical and was starting to have issues that the power kicked on and off constantly which messed up the resistance settings and very distracting. I had narrowed this down to a problem in the battery compartment. The AC adapter negates this issue so I was thrilled.
The only negative, and I’m not 100% sure if it’s related to the AC adapter or not, is that the heart rate monitor no longer works and always reads 40 bpm. I almost never use this feature, and again not sure it’s related to the AC adapter, but thought I would put it out there.

Works great but cord too short.

Works fine for my recently bought Healthrider upright bicycle. But then most exercise equipment is made by the same company,
ICON. So it should work. Will save a lot on batteries. I’m sure a cheaper adapter can be found but not sure
which amp and volt ranges would have been compatible so I went with the adapter recommended for the bike.
