I ordered this stop watch and it arrived with a dead battery. I requested a replacement and it also arrived with a dead battery. While a replacement battery is not expensive, It is also very hard to replace a battery on a water resistant item without compromising the waterproof seal. I will be ordering from a different company.

I read several of the reviews after I had received this and saw several people had received units that did not work. Mine also did not work, I changed the battery (very simple) and it works as described. Was it annoying, yes but easily corrected with a standard battery. Good product all in all. Easy to set time and date, easy to use.

Seriously disappointed in Reed Instruments product. Ordered 1, it arrived & didn’t work. Returned defective product to Amazon & ordered a replacement – which also arrived not working. Really? Returning the 2nd defective item as well. Don’t know if I’m going to try a 3rd……

Here why it is not a 5 star rating. When it arrived there was nothing on the screen, just blank, and I could not get it to turn on. I also could hear rattling when I shook it. I then disappointedly, began the return process. I took it to work, I am a personal trainer, and realized in my desk I have these tiny, jewelry type screwdrivers. I unscrewed the back and had to secure the battery down. The rattling was a lose piece that looked important but I tossed it. Put it all back together and it worked like it should. About a month or 2 later it started acting up, switching from display to display turning on and off by itself. Opened it up again and had to secure the battery down again, it was lose. I scotched tape it down to secure, put it back together and it has work great ever since. I only went through all that trouble cuz its a $40 stopwatch!! When it works its great and cool with the temp and humidity info. If yours has issues open it and check the battery placement.

Disappointing. Not worth paying the premium for the temperature and humidity function. The temperature will over read if worn around the neck, sensing body temperature. If placed in isolation the temperature reading is relatively accurate, but the humidity is way out. It under read by over 25% on most occasions, and this then affects its calculations of ‘feels like’ temperature and dew point.
As to the stop watch functions they were fine, as was the timer and alarm clock. I didn’t like the American date format on the time screen, with no function to change it. The backlight was pointless, as it only helped visibility in total darkness, having no affect in low light when it’s really needed – since not many sports occur in total darkness!
Overall, the price is not worth spending on the ‘premium’ features that are seriously lacking. I returned mine for a refund.

Was very feint on opening and numbers almost disappeared when using the backlight. Now, after very little use, does not work at all. I can’t find any support for this.
