   The Robic SC-505 is a really nice professional quality stop-watch. If you need accuracy to the 1/1000 of a second there is really nothing else I could find to compete with this. Its made of plastic, but feels solid. The buttons have a nice feel to them (and beep when you press them). Also comes with a neck strap, pretty convenient. I got this chronograph so I got sync up my multi-camera video recordings (by holding the unit in front of all the cameras to get a solid timecode). This does work, however the 1/1000 position does not update in real-time. You will only see 2 decimal places actually flickering (and the last digital stays at “8” until you press stop). So once you stop it then you will have an accuracy to 1/1000 of a second but while it is running you can only see to 1/100. Not a huge deal if you are not using like I am with dual cameras. I also have the Robic SC-507 Backlight. The 507 model is a little smaller and has a backlight (for around the same price). If you are doing anything at night or in low-light environments then get the SC-507. Also, the 507 LCD screen is a little blurry compared to the 505 so for what I am doing (recording it with video cameras for faux-timecode) it doesn’t work. But it it weren’t for that I would surely like the 507 better. Anyway, its a stopwatch and it works.

   I use this stop watch to time flights. It works great, is very rugged and easy to operate. It has the features described in the product description and has a large readable display. Certainly worth 20.

   for the second time now that I have ordered the SC-505 that is not the stopwatch I recieved. I recieved th 505W which is not even similar. It counts fewer laps and only measures to 1/100s rather than 1/1000s that the 505 measures. Don’t know where to find this actual watch, but clearly ordering it will not work

   I’m a swim coach, we use the watch for splits and timing events during swim meet. It has worked flawlessly. I wish I could say the same the two day shipping from Amazon. They (Amazon) had to to cancel my first order and credit my account and reorder the second stopwatch which came in two days, I never did see the first one I ordered. But all is well in the end. I would not have any problem buying another Robic watch for next season.
