Recommended. The assembly was not hard although instructions were a bit unclear. It is solid enough–doesn’t feel like cheap quality apart from the foot pads, which are simply huge hard plastic plates. Still, they work just fine and the experience is smooth and quiet and effective. I chose this model because the tension can be set quite high, so even just in the middle setting, it is a very solid pull. Rowing uses the whole body, so it’s a nice satisfying workout. Very happy with my decision.

It’s pretty heave but on the seat side making it very easy to flip up and store easily without taking up too much space. Assembly was super easy with a thurough manual on how to build. It’s a great beginner rower machine for the price.

In Use: As mentioned in the instruction manual, you WILL need some sort of anti slip mat under the unit. This is a shame—there’s no reason this couldn’t have grippy feet on it which would take care of the issue. I may design and print some, but for now I’m using a spare 3/8 inch mat under them.
The sliding action is smooth, and quiet. Yes—it could be smoother, but it really doesn’t need to be, and it is quite smooth. I get no sense of stress or wobble on any of the parts; on the other hand I only weigh around 160. The tension settings are good, and there is definitely a sense of additonal load with each setting. I’m starting off at 4, which was a good workout for me. I was surprised that after about 4 minutes, my Apple Watch recognized that I was rowing, and asked if I wanted to record the workout, (which it did from the time I started, in agreement with the machine readout). (This has nothing to do with the unit under review, but it meant that my questions about the readout were not important, and I sort of understand it anyway.)
I do feel that the instruction manual could either be more expansive, or there should be links to a video or two about using the rower and the display.
Honeymoon period, but I’m very pleased with this. My only experience on rowers has been on large gym units, which really, for my home use, have no advantages over this machine. It is very quiet; in that regard alone, it’s a better option for me than the big, heavily made rowers that I’ve used. And being able to stand it upright, and wheel it around, is really great, since it needs to share floor space with my other equipment, in a normal sized room.
If I run into mechanical issues as this gets more use, I will update this review.
Assembly: This has both good and bad aspects. The best was the hardware arrangement, on a shrink wrapped, numbered board. This may be becoming more common, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. The biggest negative was a wrong sized machine screw—for the seat mounting, there were three 8mm screws and 1 10mm screw; I had 8mm screws, but none in the right length, so this meant a trip to the hardware store. I don’t see this as a horrible mistake, but it was frustrating. The other issue with the assembly is that there are two parts, a plug that fits in below the readout screen, and a stop for the seat that screws into the underside of the rail—both of these parts are asymmetrical, but the illustration was way too small to show the correct orientation. Since I have a pretty full tool chest, I used my ratchets and screw drivers for the assembly rather than the provided tools. Other than the hardware store run, it took me less than 30 minutes to assemble. Note that I used to own and run a prototype machine shop, so I may be more mechanically inclined than most.
Unboxing: This also had good and bad aspects. The good was that it was packed VERY efficiently (in terms of both space used and protection of the parts). The bad was that when I opened the box, so that the print on all sides told me I was opening the top, my sense is that everything was upside down in the box—I had to slide it all out, en masse, and then discovered the instruction sheet and small parts.

We are blown away by the quality of this machine. The tension is great. The options on the display are easy to use, the seat is very comfortable and glides smoothly. It’s a great workout!
It came perfectly packed with no missing parts. The instructions were very easy to use and I put it together in just a few minutes. Maybe 20 minutes. It’s perfect size for me (6 foot) and perfect for my wife also. Really happy to add this to our home gym.

During a quarantine period, I changed my working schedule to work from home, which impacted my weight gain. My doctor told me that it was time to start exercising. It was a little hard for me to go to the gym with three kids. So my husband and I decided to have a little gym in our garage. I bought this rower 3 weeks ago, and it helped a lot. It was so quiet and comfortable, and it was also easy to assemble and of good quality. This rower has tension control from low 1 to high 16, and you can do it by count or time, which is so nice. I am so glad I bought this instead of the expensive ones. My teenage son also loves this rower, and he works on it every day. Since it is quiet, I decided to locate it in the living room. Actually, it matches the living room vibe and is good-looking. Now, I don’t need to wait extra time to work out because I am doing it while I am watching TV with my kids. I love it. They don’t even notice that I am doing it. Everything you think of for the rower it has, I can’t think of anything else. I highly recommend it; you’ll love it.

I brought the product about 3 weeks ago. It’s very simple yet gets the job done. Looks very minimal which I love, not bulky, easy to pull up when I am not using it. It’s not too heavy plus it’s a great value for the money you spend. I was too busy to go out to gym but I can just row in my garage. It has 16Level resistance, adjustable seat, very quiet . Well made products. Worth every $ you spend.
