Generally, I think this product owns the best hardware, comfortable, accurate, long battery life, extremely responsive that follows the chest band with only 1 to 2 seconds delay, very impressive. For the hardware itself, I can say it is a no-brainer chest band alternation for sports, training, and competition.
Functional-wise, it is also perfect, can store the heart rate offline in the device itself, and the LED indicator to show your heart rate zone is a perfect function for the racers. You don’t need to check your watch how many beats you stay right now, just check the LED color on this device, and that’s it. Easy and convenient.
For the build quality, it is just average. Feels very thin, not solid at all, and feels fragile in my mind.
But, the software and the firmware destroyed this product. For me, the firmware already up to date, but I met the problem if I paired it with ANT+ devices such as Garmin Edge 1030 or FR935, then the heart rate signal will drop off for both ANT+ and BLE channels. I believe the device still captures the HR beats value, but will not transfer the value via the channels. I can guarantee I wear it perfectly. When the signal drops off, the LED indicator also is messed up. It just looks like the device itself stop responding for a while. This is extremely annoying.
The software itself looks like created in 2000s, not good at all. Also, no version can be used for IPAD pro, even if you try to use the compatible mode like other apps did (such as Garmin Connect, on IPAD pro, it can only run under compatible mode). Interesting. It is just some minor changes with the software then it can support the IPADs, but no, we don’t have the choice. Maybe this is not a big deal, since most of the time use the software only to setup the heart zone, the sport mode, etc. But you need to be aware that, this device does not support multiple BLE connections. So, if you use BLE to connect to the IPAD for ZWIFT, then you want to configure the sport mode for other intentions, you need to terminate the ZWIFT and then use the mobile phone to configure that. After that, if you want to back to ZWIFT, you need to turn off the mobile phone’s Bluetooth to terminate the BLE connection permanently then you can connect to your PAD again.
If this product can make the plastic shell thicker, feels more solid, resolve the firmware drop-off issue, and provide better mobile apps, I think this one will be the armband HR device leader for sure. But now, I would recommend the Polar one since that is more stable, never drop-off, and is reliable.

Funciona muy bien y es muy fácil de utilizar. La frecuencia de muestreo es mucho mayor a la del apple watch y la vida de la baterÃa está muy por encima.

I was really excited about this monitor due to its ability to measure HRV. It’s HR detection method seemed legit and upon use I find it incredibly accurate and sensitive to changes in my heart rate. That’s about all it’s good for.
The app is useless, it won’t connect half of the time. I have to delete the app, then turn off my Bluetooth, the monitor and restart everything. It gets tedious after a while. I tried to connect it to other apps that measure HRV such as Welltory or Elite HRV but the monitor only shows up as an option to link half the time and doesn’t even link to Elite HRV despite their website mentioning it is compatible(maybe this is more Elite HRVs fault?).
It also won’t let me change my heart rate zone; it lets me input my desird values but never saves them. This makes the light up colours on the watch useless as it’s not tracking the heart rates the way I need them to.
I wish I would have gone for the PolarH10 or even the Oura ring.I have a garmin watch that tracks my heart rate pretty well, so this monitor is pretty useless to me at this point unless there is an upgrade to the app, the Bluetooth or both(I’m not a tech person so I’m not sure where the issue stems from). I’ve also contacted Scosche via email but never got an answer back

Original review (2018): Really like this so far. I got it because it was annoying to wear a chest strap when biking. I wear this when riding outside or on Zwift or when checking HRV in the morning. Fits comfortably. Doesn’t slip. Seems to track accurately. Once it read very high initially but settled in quickly after i adjusted it on my arm. Haven’t had any of the problems referenced by other reviewers. The iOS app is fine but i only used it initially. I ordered 2 more for use in other locations.
Update (2020) : I now own 4 of these for use in various places. I will never go back to chest straps again. I’ve used them road biking, mountain biking, and on indoor trainers & treadmills. They are reliable and last. I disagree with reviewers who say they aren’t accurate or have dropouts. I’ve never had problems with either issue. If there is a drop out it is usually due to poor positioning on the arm (user error).
Out of the 4 units that I have, one recently failed after ~2 years of use. I think it was a battery issue as it crapped out on a ride and then would not hold a charge (although the charging light blinked). After a few tries it wouldn’t even show the charging light. I emailed Scosche via their website and they responded within 24 hours. They helped me resolve a firmware update issue with another unit (user error again; I stopped the app midway through a firmware update) and then, after I sent a requested video of the unresponsive unit, they sent a replacement which I received in a matter of days. I was super happy with the customer service accessibility and response.
While waiting for the replacement I had tried a Polar OH1+, but I don’t like it compared to the Scosche. The Polar is smaller & lighter but it is less comfortable as the strap presses the small circular monitor into your arm instead of being even and spread out like the Scosche. The Polar charger, while small and simple, is fiddly and easy to lose. The battery life on the Polar is 50% of the Scosche’s as well. I’ll be sticking with the Scosche.

This is a good HRM that is both accurate and waterproof. It is comfortable to wear on the bicep when doing martial arts and other activities. The battery life is also very good.
What really sets this unit apart from others like it is the option to save workouts in memory. Often, I can’t have my phone without Bluetooth range, which means that non-memory HRMs (the majority) will have breaks in the data at points where I am too far away. However, with this unit, it records it and I upload it once I’m done. It also interfaces directly with Strava, which is a bonus.

It’s works fine. But the quality of the material not very good. Too expensive for what you get.

The buttons don’t work properly. They don’t respond at all! The light shows red the whole time, except when charging, when it blinks red. There’s no way to know how much charge is left, or to switch modes. The charger cable didn’t connect well with a plug – it was too loose, so it was very hard to get it in exactly the right position for it to charge, and it sometimes comes loose again by itself, even if I don’t touch it.

Inexpensive solution for me to monitor my heart rate while weight lifting and exercising. Matched it to Wahoo Fitness app (free). Last a long time on a charge and you can buy different color bands for extras. (I rotate to let them dry and wash them of sweat)

I bought this to pair with my Morpheus and it works great. I am just doing the HRV tests with it.
