I am very excited about this machine!! Absolutely love the super smooth motion of the support arms. Easy for all ages to operate (from my 70 year old parents to my 20 year old kids). I’m 5’10” tall and my son (in the pictures) is 6’1″. We both get a full range of motion stretch and pull from this equipment. Solidly isolates your upper back and lat muscles!! You’re gonna LOVE the way you feel it! Plus, the way the arms move individually from one another adds a whole new level of fitness and focus to the whole workout. Great addition to our gym!!
Assembly was a breeze. Looks like a lot, however the instructions are clearly labeled and all bolts ‘n nuts numbered. Very simple to follow diagrams. Only part my daughter helped me with was attaching the upright pulling arms (I could’ve balanced them with my head – the extra pair of hands was helpful just to keep them steady while I tightened down the bolts). Fully assembled in under 30 minutes using only the tools provided with the product. I do suggest leaving the zip ties ON until you’re fully done assembling. You do have to turn the main body upside down during assembly. Those zip ties keep the moving arms from swinging around until you’re all done putting it together (by all means, though, if you like the extra challenge…. simply snip them off & have fun!)
Two reasons for docking a star on the review:…..
1. Quality Control. Both of the rubber handle bar pull grips on the arms are damaged/discolored. One arrived with a giant tear and the other looks aged & chalky like old chocolate. Not something I’d return the whole machine over. But definitely something for the manufacturer to keep a better eye on.
2. The bicep curl chain is too short. Doesn’t allow for a full range of motion bicep curl. As is, you only get a “lower half” range of motion (arms straight down up to 90 degrees perpendicular to the floor). Need to modify it with a longer chain if you want to increase your range of motion to include the upper half of your curl contraction.
For now, it fits in really well with our “red ‘n black” gym theme, tucks nicely into an unused corner & is giving us a solid back rows workout every time! Comfortable seat & chest cushion. Fits both of our Bumper & Red Dot style 2″ Olympic weight plates. Comes with spring collars and accepts our hard plastic compression collars as well. Pretty much you can set your weight & it becomes a simple hop on ‘n off back rows workout machine!! Really grateful to have this as a part of our home gym. You’ll love it too!!
Enjoy the workout!

The standing curl does not work at at all. The seated row works but the seat at the highest position is still too low and the chest pad should extend out more to accommodate taller people. I’m 5’9″ and I can get full extension but someone taller would have issues. It’s like they built it without any actual testing. The quality of steel and the welds are good, the assembly time was about 30 minutes and was extremely easy. The price is competitive when compared to similar models. It just concerns me when there’s supposed to be a curl attachment and it doesn’t work at all…bad design

Wanting to maximize my space in home gym, got a chance to try this seated row machine by HVO. Every piece came wrapped in bubble wrap, and mostly came fine. Each nut or tools came individually wrapped in groups with stickers making it super simple to build. Assembly took ME maybe 90 minutes alone, but I missed the orientation of the foot pedals which set me back a bit, so I think a solo person can do this in about 75 or so minutes, and if you work with 2 people, about 45-50 minutes or less. Only time a second person was used was when mounting one of the row arms, as I didn’t have anything to rest it against for balance when screwing it in with the washer and bolts. I did use my own ratchet to tighten bolts in, but the two wrenches they bring are better quality than what other home gym equipment I have provided, so kudos there. In use, trying with a plate on each side, I was able to find a comfortable position for the seat both in height and distance forward, and the chest pad too. I’m 5’7″ and it feels good, but if you’re around 5’10” or taller, the height of the chest support may be too low with no way to adjust that height; can only adjust it’s position back or forward. Where I found it, it provided a good stretch when starting or at the bottom of the lift, and felt good going in pulling motion to feel it. Only real con I can say I had was the condition of one of the grips and the knurling on the rotating handles on one were ripped and chipped. Doesn’t affect the use though at all. If you’re 5’9″ or smaller and want another piece to add on top of your foundation, this will work well. If you’re taller than 5’10”, may want to compare to others for measurements. Oh, and one more con is the curling aspect. Like, it moves up odd and I can’t get a comfortable contraction, legit told myself after trying I will NEVER use that function as it seems totally tacked on and not thought out, or added just for “BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE” effect when it’s terrible for that. Good row machine, recommended for short kings!

Amazing back training machine! The biomechanics of this machine are very good, I can feel all the muscles in my back working and I can even train my trapezius.
Even my young son can use it!
I think the bicep curl movement will work well too, once I…
I previously wrote a very detailed review which included measurements I took on the wrenches, and I shared multiple photos and a video (showing my young son using the machine with me coaching him properly).
Unfortunately, that review was deleted by Amazon. The above text is all that remains.
I always expend maximum effort to enure my reviews comply with Amazon’s community guidelines, and this review was no different from any others I submit, which are approved. Therefore, It’s unclear why the review was deleted by Amazon.
In an effort to avoid another removal I am simply stating the conclusion: I’m happy with this back machine.
EDIT: since this version was approved, I took new photos and added them to the review now. I will not post the video of me and my son using the machine.
