I wanted an exercise machine that I would use, and rowing is a great whole body work out. Treadmills and elipticals (sp) are too loud and take up too much room. I also didn’t have the budget or the desire to spend a lot of money. This machine fits the bill perfectly. I am not an avid rower and am not relying on this as my only workout so again, it is perfect. It was fairly easy to assemble, and while long, doesn’t take up a bunch of room, and is light enough to move around as needed. I have not tried to fold it, but honestly don’t see this as a great benefit, as it does seem that this would be kind of a hassle, and would wear certain parts quickly. But again, that is a perception, because I have not even tried the feature.
I am bigger woman in my early 50’s and this is plenty sturdy, seat slides easy, as it should, it is not overly loud, which my housemates are appreciative of. I would strongly recommend to someone who is looking for a low impact whole body workout. However, for the more avid rower, or more advance fitness type, I can see that this might not be what they are looking for. Overall, if you are looking for something to get you moving in the right direction, I don’t think you can go wrong with this machine.

Quality is about what you’d expect when considering the price of this compared to the type of rower you might find in a gym. I’ve been using this about 4 times a week for a few weeks now and its pretty good.
Like most of these device mounts I wouldn’t trust anything larger than a phone. While a tablet will fit – it doesn’t feel stable. In fact even my phone will slowly shake off depending on how much power you push off with your legs on the drive.
In terms of CS I did have an issue with the foot straps breaking and contacted them. I was promptly provided a replacement in just a few days – great response time.
Overall just temper your expectations based on the price and you should be satisfied. Keep in mind the rowers at your local gym is likely 5-10x more and there will be a quality difference. The workout so far for me has been pretty similar though.

I wanted a rowing machine which can connect with iPhone’s Health Application and show my workout on Fitness application. I am 5′ 7″ and I was able to workout comfortably and it not just right size for the space I have. You might want to consider the other model by ShareVgo if you are taller.
I haven’t used other rowing machine but my experience with this machine is beyond satisfactory. I will try to provide some information that might be helpful.
Packaging:
The box is size of small bike box, but heavy. I opened the box in garage and moved individual parts to second level and it was easy – didn’t need any help.
(if you admire nice and smart packaging you will like this package)
Assembly:
Step-by-step assembly is very easy – all tools needed for assembly are included. No need to find your toolkit!
Application setup:
Very quick. The QR code does the magic and your phone is connected with machine via app very easily.
The app works alright. There is no connection issue with app and machine.
I am no expert but I like how the calories are calculated based on my experience with running on treadmill and Apple Watch.
The cosmetic part of app is not there yet. Feels like app is not updated specifically for the rowing machine. I am sure that ShareVgo team is working on it. But the the app is something that will be updated for free and what I got not is good enough.
Look and feel:
The machine looks better, I was not sure about the square look before buying but I love it now. (product pictures aren’t that good)
The seat:
It is hard. I have 15lbs extra and after 10mins on this machine the seat gives me some pain. But may be that’s how it should be for rowing machine! I don’t know. I have to do something about the seat though.
Noise:
All good, I am glad I got magnetic rowing machine.
Tension Levels:
Level 1 is easy. level 2 is where I have started. Level 2 was able to raise my heart bits to fat burning zone in just 2mins. (btw, the application also shows your Heart Rate Training Zones).
Who me? –
The instructions for the machine were terrific! They literally put all the pieces inside plastic wrap and labeled them by steps, so you knew exactly when to use what part. Fantastic instructions. Using the machine is pretty simple, too but folding it isn’t easy as the locking bar can go all over the place on the inside, making it complicated. The rower is a little wobbly too, and my iPad kept sliding, so I had to place some foam under one leg. Even while using the machine, it’s a little unsteady, but for the price I paid, it works well. If you plan on doing intense rowing, this is not the machine for you, but if you just want some light to moderate exercise, then it’s worth the low price.

The packing was incredible. Very well thought out and nothing could move during shipping. I found the assembly instructions clear and sensible and necessary. I can usually assemble purchases without using the entire manual. Not so much in this case. It wasn’t challenging….it was simply a lot of steps and the instructions were easy to follow. The unit itself is solid. I did see maybe 5 TINY spots where solder was not wiped off as it should have been but they weren’t sharp and not in places that would be obstructive or concerning and they were covered in paint so rounded to the touch. For the money not much to complain about. The resistance went from easy to challenging for anyone who is not in good shape. Much more than enough for my wife and I. Everything works. Happy with the purchase.
The kicker…that little bit extra that sets this company apart? Communication! Not just good. Not just great. It’s been exceptional. Read it in other reviews here first. Tested it out. Replies were prompt ( we are on different coasts) and thorough. Other reviews also mentioned fast resolution of unit issues. That ( and Amazon policy) was enough to convince me to give them a try. Happy to support a company that responded clearly to all three of my seperate inquires. Product is perfect for our use.
