I work in TV News and purchased this watch February 2018 and as of September 2018 it does not work! The start/stop plunger is not working nor is the reset plunger! Save your money!

When my son saw Sixty Minutes for the first time he had to add a mechanical (analog) stopwatch (with a button preferably to the left of the crown) to his vast collection of clocks and timers. Sixty plus dollars seemed the minimum amount to get a decent one. The first one worked all right, but the crystal kept falling out, so we returned it (I don’t return much merchandise), and it was promptly replaced with a stopwatch that didn’t work at all. We got a refund (my first time doing this with Amazon) and bought a Marathon analog stopwatch, which was ninety dollars more than the Durac, and it’s very nice, just what my son wants (thought it doesn’t look like the Sixty Minutes model that Durac makes with the button on the right), and we paid close to 150 for it. I guess the old saw about getting what you pay for still holds true.

I have this H-B Instrument Durac 545 stopwatch for about three weeks now. The diameter of the case of this stopwatch is approximately 50 millimeters (about 1.97 inch). Its weight is approximately 89 gramm (about 0.196 lb, or about 3.1 oz). The stopwatch is modestly looking, nothing fancy. At the same time, it is a pleasantly looking (to my eyes) thing. It is not written on the stopwatch where it is made. Nothing at all is written on the back of the stopwatch. The stopwatch came in a nice solid hard box, of a blue color. There is a sticker on the box, and it is printed on that sticker, among other things: “Analog Stopwatch 30 minute…Article No. 545…Made in China.” During that short period of time that I have it, I was winding the stopwatch every day, and I tried to start it, to stop it, and to reset it a number of times. Everyrhing worked as it is supposed to work. It starts smoothly, and stops properly, and resets to exactly zero when I reset it. Now, to reset this stopwatch to zero, one needs to stop the watch first. So, if one needs a stopwatch which can be reset to zero while it is running, then he needs a different stopwatch. No information about warranty on this stopwatch came with the stopwatch. However, when I called over the telephone, a person from H-B Instrument Company told me that the duration of the warranty is one year. Pacific.

I had one of these watches years ago, but it was stolen. This is its replacement. I didn’t need a lot of ‘bells and whistles’ in a stopwatch, and frankly feel more at home with the analog versions than I do the digital ones – albeit they MIGHT be more accurate. Oh well. Oldies are goodies!

Fantastic. Beautiful and functional. A full wind will last almost an entire day, if that matters.
If you’re looking for a classic stopwatch, this is it.

This stopwatch is junk. I’ve received two of them, and neither one workd at all. Remember the song Mona Lisa? Well this stopwatch just lies there and dies there.

found this to be a reasonably priced machine, a stopwatch that looks and operates the way I remember them. down with digital!
