The strap that comes with the Wahoo Tickr Fit heart rate monitor is constructed of two layers of fabric glued together. Over the two years or so that I had it, exposure to perspiration and a few trips through the laundry caused the adhesive to fail and the two layers of the strap began to come apart. I bought this strap as a replacement. I have used it once; the fit and comfort seem fine. Only time will tell whether the nylon webbing of this product will stand up better to the elements than the original.
A buyer beware warning – while the Tickr Fit came with two straps of different lengths to accommodate different forearm diameters this product ships in either size large or X-large. By default large seems to be chosen when you view the product. Be sure to measure your existing strap to ensure that you are choosing the correct one to avoid having to do a return. As this is coming from the US, Prime doesn’t cover the cost of return shipping.
