Initially we loved this treadmill but now, after 6 months, after going one mile the pad chaffing and making noises.despite adding oil and trying to shift the belt, we cannot fix the issues. Return window closed.

I wrote this review back in 9/2023. 4 months later, it is every bit as great as it was out of the box. I have had no issues with the machine. It is rock solid. I did an initial centering of the pad. It took several tweaks to get it just right (small adjustment, run it for a few minutes, check and readjust as needed). Once the pad was centered, it has stayed that way and has not migrated left or right in 4 months. I did a lube with the oil recently, and it went just fine. The oil “port” is a fantastic feature. The DAEYEGIM treadmill comes in a well-padded and safe packaging. It is already assembled. All you have to do is screw in the knobs that hold the foldable handles, no tools required. Once powered up and the safety key is attached, you are ready to go with a well-built and solid machine. Everything about the machine is geared toward an excellent and user-friendly experience.
At the lowest speed setting of 0.5mph you can barely hear the motor as you walk. The motor changes speeds with efficiency and minimal effort. When you press start, it begins at the lowest setting of 0.5mph which is plenty slow to get on and begin your workout. I would suggest starting it first and then getting on to minimize any strain on the motor trying to start from zero while your weight is on the walking pad. When you press stop, the speed gradual slows down in a comfortable manner back down to 0. The walking pad is designed with multiple cushioned layers underneath and is easy underfoot and on the legs. The listing has a good visual of this.
It comes with a battery included remote control that works flawlessly to increase or lower the speed or to shut down, plus a spare battery! The remote is not required, as you can easily adjust the speed, start, stop from the console. At higher speeds the motor is still relatively quiet, so much so that the main sound you will hear is the pitter-patter of your footsteps. One nice feature is that it includes a utility shelf attachable to the console for you to rest your cell phone on, or in my case the remote to my FireTV so I can interact with my Amazon Music playlists. The readout displays at the base housing show speed, distance, time, calories, and steps. The readouts are large and easily read to monitor your progress. If you do not turn off the machine at the end of your workout with the main power button at the base, the console will time out and go into sleep mode.
Everything about the treadmill speaks to a well-thought-out and user-friendly machine. It is such a solid machine. As a DIY, I went to Lowes and got some wide self-seal foam pipe insulation (1 inch inner diameter) and wrapped the handle bars with it for extra cushioning.
I am not a big strong guy, but was able to manage the unpacking in slow, careful steps. You can always have someone help you unpack it, as out of the box it is about 50 pounds. The Amazon delivery guy was nice and brought it into the house for me.
It is evident from the material included with the treadmill and instruction manual, that the seller is genuinely interested in the customer, and their having a fun and excellent experience with the treadmill for fitness. I had occasion to contact the seller at their provided Outlook email address with questions regarding the use of the treadmill and received prompt, friendly, and valuable information. The customer service agent (Eva) was very friendly, helpful, and eager to resolve any issues I might have with quick responses.
One of the tidbits she helped me with is that the machine walking pad comes pre-lubricated and does not require any oil until later after some time of usage. There is a chart in the manual to determine when to do this based on your usage. And related to that… the machine comes with a very cool oil port for applying the silicon lubricant. All you do it pop off the little rubber plug at the upper left of the machine. It is well marked and easy to find. You squirt in some oil… they recommended 1/3 of the bottle they provide in the box. No more fussing around with trying to put oil underneath the walking pad with your hands… awesome! They provide an allen wrench if you need to adjust the walking pad. As recommended by the seller, only adjust the left side port. If there is space on the right of the pad and you want to move it a little in that direction to center the pad, turn the allen wrench in that direction (clockwise). Do 1/4 turns at a time only so you are not going back and forth! Run it for a while and if needed adjust again. It might take a few times. If it is the opposite and there is too much space on the left of the walking pad, rotate the allen wrench counter clockwise.
The treadmill is an Amazon Prime item and comes and with a free 90-day return policy. It also has a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer! Combined with a price point that blows the competition away, you can’t go wrong trying this treadmill out. I attached several photos referencing my talking points.
I found using the DAYEYEGIM treadmill to be an easy and enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and solid treadmill for their home workout!

I wished the handles would have some padding. Easy to walk on, everything worked in the panels. The manual doesn’t explain things too well as far as the digital reout. Once you’re on it you can figure it out. It is really quiet too. When I first went on it the track did slightly move. Had to make a slight adjustment by lifting up the back side of the treadmill and visually looking at it to adjust with the wrench they give you. How I knew this, when I started to walk on it every 30 seconds or so it was making a noise. The belt needed to be adjusted, the noise went away. So far, so good. I do not fold it up because you have to loosen the handle bolts for it to fold.

Using this at home to supplement PT and to keep moving while it’s 110°+ outdoors.
Very easy to set up, remote is easy to use, no issues at all. It’s very quiet when operating so I can use it while others are asleep or while cats or dog are nearby. Doesn’t frighten them. I like to use it while watching TV so I’m distracted from the length of time I use it. I like having the poles rather than a bar, or nothing, and they are easily put in and taken out.

Likes: good walking pad, size, and speed. Not too loud. The handle bar is a great addition. Not too heavy to move around.
Dislikes: No matter how much I have adjusted the Treadmil belt it keeps slipping to the left. Handle bar knobs, to lock it upright, have to be completely removed to lower the handle bar.

This little treadmill is the perfect size for small home use. If all you need is a way to walk when you can’t get outside this is it. There is no incline it is a flat surface, don’t expect it to be like the $2000. mach8nes out there. But it’s a great little machine for the price.
