First some stats; this review is for older folks. I’m 64, 6’1, 254 lbs, size 12 feet. I walked a little last year but no substantial exercise in years. In reasonably good health. I use it for walking, not running. I hate gyms. This review is after my first use.
I have a home office & my work in criminal defense is stressful sometimes. At this age you realize you need to take care of yourself. I’m not nearly done with life and would like to live & be ambulatory for a few more decades.
I wanted a treadmill that would accommodate my size & weight & incline. I read all the reviews of this treadmill and several others. This seemed ideal for my small office.
For a treadmill it may be light but this thing is pretty heavy to get up stairs. I took it out of the box and lugged it up one step at a time. Be smart and get someone to help.
There is nothing junky or cheap feeling about this machine. Not at all. In fact it is remarkably solid & didn’t strain under my weight at all. Plenty of power.
So far I haven’t used the mode or program buttons. I turn it on and set the speed, went up to 2.5 mph for my first walk (not inclined yet). Walked half an hour, 1.1 miles, burned about 80 calories.
Now, I learned with my Apple Watch a while ago to not be discouraged by calorie counts that are lower than you expected. Your count will go up as you get used to walking and walk for longer times.
The display alternate between time, distance, speed & calories. It’s a good, useful display. I don’t use the desk part. At my height I need that room.
The pros so far is that I got what I wanted, a good, high quality simple machine to get walking exercise.
Everyone, especially older people should use the safety clip. You clip it to your clothes and it attaches to the control panel via magnet, so if you fall the magnet detaches and the treadmill stops.
No cons yet, but some considerations. I can take long strides walking on it, but if you are tall and want to run on a treadmill you should consider a bigger machine.
Next, the track is not so narrow as to be a problem but be careful, use the handlebars a little at first to practice for a habit of a straight gait.
When I let myself drift back on the walking pad, my big feet/heels would catch little cowlings or covers at the end and side of the pad, making a “snap” sound. That’s why I practiced a narrow gait. Easy fix.
Next, have your water, phone & anything you might want like a tv remote right there. I have shelves and next time will have it all right there. Don’t look over your shoulder to grab something. It’s destabilizing.
I have a tv in my office and watched a show while I watched (although mostly I watched my feet and the control panel).
By happy accident I have a fan 3 feet away. Get one. You’ll get hot.
But man my first walk felt good! I worked up a sweat & felt like I got some exercise!
Since I’m older and writing this for older people who want to walk and work up a sweat, this is what you’re looking for. I feel no hesitation recommending it.
I’ll update this if anything major changes.

The box is very heavy! The good things about this treadmill are that it is small and portable, easy to put together, and works well. The bad thing is that it does not have a PAUSE button which had I known this I would probably have looked around more. It may not seem important to some but if you have to stop for any reason, baby crying, dog wants out, you dropped your book/remote, etc… well then you lose all your stats because you have to stop the machine. The added tray is a nice feature but it becomes somewhat sticky when your hands get damp from sweat so a towel is a must – a small hook placed on the side would be nice to hang a hand towel. I was using the treadmill and dropped my towel and had no way to retrieve it as I did not want to lose my progress. Another thing to consider is that although it has a program and mode feature there are no actual instructions on how to use them. I ended up having to email the company to get written instructions. That problem was not a deal breaker for me but the missing PAUSE button certainly is.

This has to be the most underrated folding treadmill out there. My hunt for a folding treadmill started about a month ago when I was approaching my 65th birthday. Needing to keep active but not having the room for full size treadmill and needed to find something to fold up and slide under the bed when needed. The number of brands and models were confusing to sort through and the ratings were all over the scale. I tried 2 different models from another brand with more features, app and tracking, but they felt cheap and not comfortable to use so back they went. Knowing that If I settled with the shortcoming’s they either wouldn’t last or I would quit using it because I wasn’t really satisfied with it from the start. Being frustrated with the whole process I was second guessing the plan of a portable treadmill and considered other indoor exercise options. But not having room for exercise equipment I was frustrated. By chance while watching hundreds of review videos on these weird named treadmills I came across one mentioning the Hccsport and It seemed like it had good reviews with the negative reviews being mostly shipping related or setup errors. Digging deeper this one seemed like a winner, but why wasn’t it talked about more, not popular like the other brands everybody is promoting? So I ordered it and when I received and set it up I was impressed. Everything I disliked about the other two I tried were solved. It was sturdy, I didn’t feel like I was walking on a mushy unstable surface, The flip up handle height is adjustable, the add on tray table is helpful for a laptop and stable enough to actually use. It’s quiet and with a 3hp motor I don’t think I will have problems with it burning up due to being underpowered like the other 2.5hp models I had.
My dislikes?
1) Well I wish it had an app to track data, but I use my apple fitness for that.
2) It’s heavier than the others, but it’s stable so I can accept that.
3) The startup tone is loud and annoying for a second but not a big deal. Tape over the speaker fixes that.
4) It doesn’t have a pause feature, just start/stop. But not a big deal as it doesn’t retain the workout data after you finish anyway. I use the apple fitness app to pause if needed.
5) All these type of treadmills seem to have to motor cooling vents on the bottom of the motor cage. If you place them on carpet the vents will be blocked causing the motor to overheat. So a mat is needed to prevent this. Or with the adjustable incline just raise it up and get it off the carpet.
What I like?
1) It’s a tank but a small tank. Well made and I feel like it won’t fall apart in 18 months.
2) Quiet and stable walking platform. I feel balanced and comfortable using it.
3) The adjustments and locking levers for the folding bar are metal and sturdy so they will last.
4) 3hp motor is more than enough to not strain with my 220lb load. After an hour it’s barely warm.
5) I can set the bar/tray height to exactly the right height making it comfortable to use an iPad.
6) The popup wheels are great if you store it upright and makes it stable so it won’t fall over.
7) The overall build quality is well thought out and attention to detail is there.
If it had a app to keep track of your workout this thing would be perfect!
I guess time will tell but I feel like this treadmill is the best buy for the money. The other ones are more promoted and have thousands of reviews all over the place from “I love it” to “this thing is garbage” and this one has less than a thousand but the reviews are solid and seem honest and not influenced by promotions. I could have saved a hundred bucks staying with one of the other two purchased but It would have been a compromise for comfort and I would stop using it making it a clothes rack or it would have broken within a year.
We will see how it goes but I feel confident with this HCC and time will tell.
If something changes I will be sure to update my review.

Right out of the box, no piecing together..the only problem I had was I did not know there was a main switch located underneath the front of the machine….instruction said nothing about the switch…I emailed the company they were fairly quick to get back to me but I had already went to you tube and discovered it that way..also I did tighten the belt, a cinch to do and needed.
Its so much better for me than a giant sized one that takes so much space..this is fast and pretty smooth and quiet. So far I am loving it…I am 5’6″ and lots of room to walk in long strides. It goes up to 8 mls per hr…I start wih the 2 mile for a warm up, and go to 3, last 15 min I speed up…I go for one hr.. I think 30 min is actually enough without zapping your energy. It seems well made. Not wobbly or squeaky.
Very happy so far.
