I own one of the oldest C2 rowers in America. I don’t know if that’s entirely accurate, but, it still has the wood handles. Over time the handles have been a bit slick with humidity or sweat so my great idea was to wrap it in hockey tape, which was fine for shorter workouts, but blister city for marathon rowing sessions.

I regularly use the Concept 2 rowing machine for exercise. I have to wear gloves; otherwise, I get calluses on my hands. This is a simple solution to soften the bar. My hands don’t sweat much, so I can’t comment on how good the absorption is. The fabric is soft, like a sock, and I don’t get calluses when I don’t wear gloves. It’s easy to put the sock on and take it off the bar.
