This was a waste of money ,too hard to get set up ! I would recommend a more expensive one that is easy to use.

If there is such a thing as a high-end pedometer, this is it and it is a very accurate. The display is large as pedometers go and has a 12 or 24 hour clock. The 2032 button battery will last up to 12 months. It also comes with a clear belt clip so tje pedometer doean’t live in your pocket getting scratched bybyour keys and change.
Plus, for the price, with its multiple functions, it really is a great value if you’re in the market for a pedometer. This is the one to get.

I used Omron for years. They got crazy expensive and did things not needed. Was hoping this right sized reasonable priced pedometer would work. I can put it to 0 when removing at night. It works great the 1st couple thousand steps. Then it adds yesterdays steps. It is not the AM PM on the clock. If you need accuracy, you will need to write down the number of steps each day.

This pedometer counts your steps and displays them on a very clear screen, in large print that’s easy enough to see with or without reading glasses. It has a clip that works very well on a pocket or on the waistband of pants or a skirt. I can only assume that the lanyard that comes with it is intended to attach to a belt loop or other secure point to avoid having it fall off if it accidentally unclips from your clothing. According to the instructions any jolting of the pedometer will cause inaccurate readings so the lanyard is not going to work if you loop it around your neck or hang it anywhere. The reason I eliminated one star is that it doesn’t count your steps unless you start out with taking ten steps, so if you do a lot of walking around your home or in your office the steps might not count. To test this out I compared steps on my Apple Watch to steps on the pedometer over a few days and here are the readings:
Watch / Pedometer / Difference
12635 / 11408 / 927 (7.3% below) – mostly hiking
4612 / 3750 / 862 (18.7% below) – mostly around house
So the walking that occurs in small spaces is more likely to be lower in step count on this pedometer. All in all if you are looking to track steps and don’t mind that the number displayed might be a ‘worst case’ scenario, this is a great pedometer and worth the cost.

I like tracking my steps. I have a heart condition so keeping track of my activity during the day is important. I have tried several Fitbit type watches and apps on my phone, but none of them give me an accurate depiction of my steps throughout the day. Also I hate wearing watches so it usually ends up abandoned on my bedside table. I decided to invest $10 in one of these OG pedometers. No muss, no fuss, no chargers. Just clip it to your shirt and go. But as it turns out, unless the majority of your fitness comes from walking or running, it’s not as simple as all of that. I don’t just run or walk during the day. I skate, I lift weights, I jump rope, I cross train. So it’s a little bit of a dance figuring out where to put the pedometer so that it tracks my activity. And even when it does, I’m not entirely convinced it tracks accurately. Jumping rope for one, I assumed that by bouncing up and down it would keep track of my movements. But nothing could be further from the truth. This pedometer didn’t pick up my movements from jumping rope at all. It barely picks up my movements when I am doing housework. I found the best place to clip my pedometer is to the laces of my shoes, but I can’t do that all of the time. And over an hour’s worth of figure skating counts as one step XD There are also other functional things that I have issues with. At midnight, it doesn’t just revert back to zero. You have to clear it. If you don’t, then you have the prior day’s steps added into the current day and you get an inaccurate reading. The battery pops out ridiculously easy, thus erasing all of your information for the day. There’s no light option. And the screen is difficult to read if there isn’t enough light. For $10 you can’t really go wrong with this little pedometer as long as you can deal with a bit of inaccuracy. EDIT: The little bit of inaccuracy is now a lot of inaccuracy. It might be a battery issue, but the battery was brand new when I started using it. The clock is off by hours now and I never altered it. Also, I wore it all day yesterday, and where I should have ended the day with 3k steps, I was at 200.
