I like the simplicity of this product. Tracks only steps and can be hooked on to clothes. Helps avoid radiation from wearing fitbit watches on hands

All I wanted was a simple tool to count my steps. ALL my steps, including walking in place while I’m waiting for a horse trough to fill or washing dishes, walking fast or slow, taking short or long strides. That is exactly what the FitBud does.
As far as I can tell it’s accurate; at any rate, it’s consistent. It may count the occasional extra step when I’m driving, especially a manual; and it didn’t count well when attached to my bra strap (what can I say? I have big boobs that cushion the impact of my steps!) But it clips securely to a belt loop and never falls off, and it doesn’t look weird or get in the way.
I’m really very happy with this affordable, useful tool that’s already helping me to challenge myself to go a little further every day.

Liked everything about the step counter. I used it 2 days in a row & it seems very accurate & now I know how many steps I take. Thats not even counting going for a walk at a park . I did this all at my house & man , I take a LOT of steps lol

I was looking for a simple pedometer that doesn’t require reading a long instruction manual, and I am glad I found this one. It works in my pocket, in my bag, and of course clipped to my waist. It seems to be fairly accurate and is easy to reset. It did get stuck a few times when it wouldn’t continue with counting, but this issue somehow has gone away on its own. Fortunately this happened only during the first week of use. Now it is working just fine, and I am happy to have it.

I bought this pedometer from Amazon a couple of years ago. It’s been on my pants pocket since then. It’s incredibly easy to use – no calculating your stride, no other advance settings. Just put in on and go! I’ve been surprised to discover how much (and sometimes how little!) I’ve walked on a particular day. For example, I’ve done 3,000 steps without leaving my small two-story house by carrying multiple loads of laundry to and from the basement.
I was delighted to discover this pedometer accurately registers steps on my treadmill. However, I discovered it does not register up-and-down steps on my “The Step Adjustable High Step Aerobic Platform with 4 Risers” (search this term on Amazon). To compensate, I just counted the number of steps I did in a single step platform workout, then added them to my daily total. Easy-peasey.
Overall, I highly recommend this simple, inexpensive pedometer. BTW – If you’re starting a walking program, I also recommend Mark Fenton’s book, “The Complete Guide to Walking,” which has a section about pedometers and how best to use them. (Amazon sells this book.)

Easy to use and display is large and clear. Seems to be accurate. Clip to my brastrap so I am not constantly bumping on my waist. Very happy with purchase and recommend highly!

I have used pedometers in the past and after a few weeks I’d give up because they were inaccurate or hard to manage. The 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer with Clip and Lanyard, A420S is none of those things. I got mine mid August 2024 and it is now Oct 7. For every day except one when I totally forgot it, I’ve been able to clip it to what I’m wearing, or use the lanyard that comes with it to keep track of my steps. The lanyard is also easy to use, since the step counter easily clips to and from it. I’m making slow steady progress increasing my activity and it’s because of the ease and accuracy of this little guy that I can track it all. Easy to read, easy to reset, and the most accurate step counter I’ve ever used.

The 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer could not be easier to use. Hold in the reset button for a few seconds to zero it out when you wake up, then stick it in your pants pocket or carry it on the supplied lanyard or in your purse or bag way, and read your steps whenever you want. The display is large and easy to read. It is not lighted, but that saves circuitry, size, and battery life.
Unfortunately, the pedometer I purchased was not accurate.
As a test, I carried it in my left pants pocket while walking on my treadmill for about 25 minutes. In my right pants pocket, I carried my Android smartphone with a pedometer app I downloaded at no cost.
I compared the readings on both devices to the steps tracked by my treadmill.
I have repeatedly checked my treadmill’s step-counting accuracy over the years by counting my steps as I walk, and comparing them to the treadmill. Consistently, over 2,000 steps, the treadmill never varies from my actual count by more than two steps, which is a maximum error of only 1/10 of one percent (0.001).
So I was comfortable using my treadmill’s reading as the standard for a comparison of the 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer and the smartphone app.
The free downloadable app on my phone was extremely close to the treadmill’s reading. It varied from the treadmill by less than 1/2 of one percent (0.004).
On the other hand, the 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer had an unacceptable error of eight percent (0.080).
Furthermore, the error is not consistent. I’ve done several tests. Sometimes the 3DFitBud reads high and sometimes it reads low, compared to actual steps counted. And some errors were much higher than eight percent.
So, sadly, I’m returning the 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer to Amazon for a refund. I’ll use the free app I downloaded for my Android. It’s my understanding a basic pedometer may com standard on Apple phones. If not, I’m sure such apps are available. Just search for “pedometer.”
