I purchased a beautiful new treadmill and decided that I wanted to take advantage of the treadmill’s Bluetooth connectivity with a heart rate monitor. I already spent enough on the treadmill so I was hoping to find an affordable option for the tiny little strap.
This one is less than a quarter of the price of the official ifit heart rate strap. And it works. It is easy enough to connect it each time, and the bpm is accurate. I wear a garmin lily, and it is within a couple beats of that. It holds a charge well, charges quickly and easily. It is also simple to use – one spot to press off and on…flashes red as it is turning off, glows green when charging, flashes blue when it is on. I strap it on to my forearm.
Truly that simple. I can see my heart rate on the monitor as I go through the workouts. The treadmill also adjusts my pace if my heart rate is too low or too high. It is great to have the data as I am training.

I bought this to use with my iFit treadmill. It almost killed me. The heart rate is so inaccurate, the iFit app kept turning up the speed on the treadmill in a failed attempt to raise my heart rate. My watch showed me at way over 140bpm, but the COOSPO never got higher than 120bpm. I had to make an emergency stop on the treadmill before it threw me off or I had a heart attack. If you need accuracy, this item is completely unsafe.

So I was looking at the more expensive options out there such as Wahoo or Rythum but just couldn’t justify the expense for something I wasn’t sure how much I would use. So I found this product.
It’s basic, meaning no storage and they don’t have their own app.
However, it seems to work extremely well. It charges with a USB cord, monitors constatnly, Bluetooth works well, and no dropouts for me. The on/off button is basically the top and covered in rubber so no sweat can get in, and its nice and clicky.
Accuracy seems good. (I haven’t run it through any DC rainmaker levels of comparison though)
Battery life seems good.
Just use the Wahoo app or any other on your smartphone.

I really like this HRM for use with the peloton bike. Your heart rate shows up on the screen so you can get strive scores for your rides. It’s easy to turn on and use and keeps a good connection via Bluetooth, even when I’m taking a bike bootcamp class. The only negative is that occasionally my heart rate is a little different to my Apple Watch, but usually not drastically.

After having numerous models of Fitbit and using both the Sosche Rhythm+ and Rhythm24, and having the Rhythm24 actually break on two tries at the connection point of the band and the monitor I decided to try this HRM. I use the iCardio app which I love. With both the Sosche Rhythm+ and 24 iCardio work exceptionally well both Sosche HRMs were very good with the exception that the Rhythm+ stopped working after 1 year.
The major drawback of this CooSpo HRM is that is looses connectivity when I do any movement involving arm movements: battle ropes, renegade rows, almost any wieght lifting exercise. I have had now for a month which I ordered with the CooSpo bike computer. I haven’t used the bike computer yet and that is really keeping me from sending the HRM back. I do a lot of cross-training and keeping track of my heartrate and calories burned are important metrics. So when I lose 3-5 minutes of accurate reading every twenty minutes of three to four 20 minute circuits I am losing a lot of data. I am really thinking of returning this item!
Update
I am exceedingly disappointed with this product. Now after just 6 months of use the armband HRM is more effort than its worth. It shuts off mid-ride, sometimes won’t connect to the iCardio app, and is inconsistent when it does connect. I initially gave the HRM 3-stars after 1 month. I am downgrading that to 1-Star only because i can’t give negative stars. I’m totally dissatisfied with this product even more than the two useless FitBit monitors now taking up space in the used and useless digital product draw.

I’ve been using this for about 3 years on over 250 Peloton rides and it’s still working well. The band has not worn out and it still holds enough charge for about 30 rides. No problems connecting.

I had previously used a chest hrm before, but switched to this one. So far it has worked great. No issues with recording and the rechargeable ability is what sold me on this.
