A few years ago I had a Fitbit and decided to “upgrade” to a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2. After I killed my “water resistant to 50m” Samsung watch by taking it to the deep, deep depths of a 4-foot above ground pool, I found this Fitbit Charge 5. It has all the features that I liked about the Samsung watch and none that I don’t, and it’s over $100 cheaper. It’s very comfortable, accurate and connects to the app easily. I got the bundle for the screen protectors and watch band, which is better than the one that comes in the same box as the Charge 5.
The only thing I didn’t like was the 3.3′ charging cord. It’s VERY, VERY temperamental about connecting to the watch. Even if it shows that it’s charging, in a few seconds it’s not. The included charging cable that comes in the same box as the Charge 5 connects to the watch much more reliably. And considering you only need to charge this every few days, you can just recycle the 3.3′ charging cord.

This is a great product for you if you want to track your activity, sleep, heart rate or other things like that. It is slip and comfortable to wear. It also is wonderful because it has alarms you can set on the watch itself, (not having to use your phone) and also timers the same way. It also, if is connected to a phone, has the ability to find your phone. This is great especially when your phone is on silent, because this will still make it ring. The battery life is long and it is a quick charge. The only thing I hated about this watch is that it has no physical button. I hated trying to get the screen to light up when I wanted it to, and there was nothing I could physically push to get it to turn on. You know yourself though, so if that doesn’t bug you, this is the tracking watch for you. My husband loved it!

Ordered this watch in late august, it’s now early may and the watch is no longer working.
The warranty is supposedly void because I bought it on Amazon and not directly from Fitbit.
Watch wasn’t the greatest but it worked for what i needed. Now that i see how customer service/ warranty is… I’ll spend my $200 elsewhere and Will never another Fitbit again.

ordered this as the fitbit 4 was not working after I swam with it. I waited to swim with the fitbit 5 and just did for the first time July 4 and it never worked again and I have so many bands for it and for the charge 4 that is no longer charging or working and also the versa 3, not working. I would like the charge 4. I wAS HAPPY with it but not am thinking of switching away from fitbit if they do not help and I cannot locate a phone number for them

I’ve owned every Charge HR series since the 2nd. My Charge 4 broke when the screen shattered after slipping, so I decided to take advantage of a Black Friday deal and get the Charge 6. Unfortunately, the Charge 6 was a disappointment right from the start, with inaccurate running results and firmware update issues. After talking to friends who had similar problems, I returned it and decided to try the Charge 5. The onboard GPS on my Charge 4 was glitchy and unreliable. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the Charge 5, especially because the built-in GPS is more accurate than my iPhone and Samsung phone GPS. However, the built-in GPS sometimes takes a while to connect and drains the battery faster. While it worked fine during a 12-mile run, the signal couldn’t be found when I tried to use it 200 miles away, so I had to rely on my phone for GPS.

El producto es muy buen y con excelentes funcionalidades, sin embargo tiene un problema en la correa que al ser presionado contra la muñeca esta se suelta. me sucedió alguna que otra vez mientras la use en el gimnasio. desafortunadamente en mi ultimo viaje en algún momento se soltó de la misma forma la correa y lo perdí.
Es muy recomendable el producto pero si arreglaran ese problema seria excelente.

This device was purchased April 21 and lasted until July 31 before it no longer charged or synced with my phone. One positive note. This particularly device lasted longer than its predecessor (almost 30 days).
Why do I continue to buy these devices? Great question. I have over 10 years of tracking data on the Fitbit platform and have resisted moving to another platform. Prior to the beginning of this month (July), I could input/track my progress on a computer via Fitbit.com. That is no longer an option because google will only allow the user to track activity on the app, which has character limits. Customer service is almost as unreliable as the individual device. One can purchase a new tracker on Amazon, but Fitbit customer service looks for an excuse to NOT reimburse you. The standard excuse is that an Amazon purchase was from a unaccredited seller.
If you are a first-time buyer who is considering a fitness tracker, avoid this product.
