Works well for what it is. All Pedal Exercisers are not exercise bikes. At this price, they’re not going do anything fancy. They’re not going to be precise. They’re not going to be the smoothest.
Great for the elderly, exercise without bother and a circulation pick me up.
In the Hausse Folding Exercise Peddler, I like the location of the knob. It doesn’t get in the way. Light weight. Doesn’t get too hot. Good price.
Easy to use. It unfolds and snaps into place. There’s a knob on the top that you turn to increase the tension slightly (it’s not an exercise bike tension). Because you are turning metal, it will heat up but the placement is good so it’s not a problem. Knob and petals main body has plastic coating for protection. There’s also a display counter/timer/calorie/speed/ON button used with different modes. You have to press a big button to control or clear the various functions.
I have it under my desk and pedal away. I also use it to pedal with my hands. There is no room on my desk because of the stuff I have on it so I put it on my bed and sit next to it and pedal. I use the timer only. It’s accurate, I checked. Feels like it helps my circulation.
There is one problem which I see other machines like this have and that it sometimes it moves when you pedal. I put a rag under my chair and exerciser and it stays in place. It does have something on the bottom of the exerciser to prevent this but it doesn’t work well on certain floors.

I have been very sedentary at work. This is under my desk attached to my office chair. Anytime I’m going to be working at my computer for an extended time I start pedaling. It does not take a lot of effort but keeps the blood flowing. I would recommend this to all ages and activity levels.

I purchased this so that my kids could get a little more exercise in on those adverse weather days and so that I could exercise a little while working(I work from home). Unfortunately I can’t use it underneath my desk as my desk is not tall at all, but I was prepared that this would probably be the case. My kids love using it while watching tv or just sitting on the couch. It keeps their body occupied when they might otherwise be wanting to run around the house or rolling around on the couch or floor. Great price. Very simple, which is what I wanted in case something happened to it. Unfortunately my dog chewed up the part that goes over your shoe to keep the pedals under your feet and not spinning like a madman, but I fixed it with duct tape and called it a day. Durability is pretty good for the price.

this is perfect for my lazy days when i want to exercise but my body refuses to cooperate. if you put your feet in the strapped pedals, you just automatically start moving your feet without even noticing. the display works as described although i dont pay much attention to it.

Tl;dr – Do not turn up the tension knob. The unit heats up enough to burn your skin.
I initially wanted to give this product a good review. It gets the job done for a reasonable price, but I started noticing that the resistance wasn’t high enough to get me a good workout, so I cranked up the tension knob.
About 20 minutes later, the display stopped tracking reps, so I went to examine it. When I touched the metal bar connecting the pedals, it burned my thumb.
After I treated my burn, I grabbed a meat thermometer I had lying around to check the temp on it and got a reading of 183°F (pic included). No wonder I burned myself.
I checked the Amazon reviews, and it turns out a couple of people have gotten 1st-degree burns, and one person got 2nd-degree burns.
I managed to miss those reviews when making my purchase because Amazon isn’t promoting them as “top reviews,” even though one of them has been marked helpful 88 times and the most “helpful” top review only has, like, 8.
Do better, Amazon. This product is injuring people.
