It worked well for 1.5 years, but this week the numbers suddenly went haywire. There’s a small bit of rust on one of the strap buttons. Scrubbed that off but didn’t seem to help. Can’t complain at this price I guess… It only used 2 batteries in 1.5 years.

These DO NOT work!!!! Stay away, far away!!! I have 2 of these and as soon as you put them on, your HR Readings will climb, and climb and climb. It nlevels off after a bit, but for my 2 usually around 150bpm, as I am sitting and resting. Garmin says my HR is 71, But Magene insits it is 150. I got in touch with Magene support, and they said I need to contact the seller, well, that is Magene as I purchased directly from them on Amazon. I was told again, to contact the seller, and I explained again that THEY were the seller. Finally the guy at Magene Support contacted me and said for me to contact the original seller….at this point, I hate to say it, but I gave up. These people will try to sell you crappy Chinese Products, so stay away!!!!!

I’ve been a loyal Wahoo customer, but I’ve gone through two heart straps in < 3 years. They should be more durable than that (yes – I changed the batteries). I was going to buy another, and then saw the alternatives and thought I'd give Magene a try.
I also bought a bike computer, and speed/cadence sensor package, so I hoped they’d work well together.
I’ve used this on about ten rides so far. It syncs well to my computer and to my phone. It works with the Wahoo Fitness app, and Strava, as well as the Magene app.
It’s not perfect, but Wahoo has similar issues, and Garmin is just more than I care to spend.
It’s comfortable to wear, and seems pretty accurate. Don’t know if I’d recommend it for medical purposes, but for trying to keep your heart rate in a range while exercising, or for analyzing your performance, it’s pretty good.

Worked great and connected to my Coros Pace 2 via bluetooth without any issues. Used it for just over a month (~20 runs and ~25 hours total). I’d rub a small amount of water over the skin where the sensors touched before use. Disconnected the sensor from the strap when not in use.
I used the built-in app to check the battery once a week and was initially very impressed. It was still showing 100% after the first two weeks. During the 4th week, I had a day it wouldn’t connect. The light would start blinking as if it was ready to connect, then when I tried to connect with my watch, the light would just go off (it’s supposed to go solid). I had just checked the battery with the app after the previous run and it still showed 100%, but I swapped the battery just in case, and it worked fine for another week (4 runs), then did the same thing it was doing before.
I did notice that if I touched the sensor to the outside of the snaps, it would connect and stay on, but once snapped in, it would just turn off. I liked it while it worked, but I am not going to try my luck with this product again.

I just received this today, although it was a day late and delivered to a neighboring house that they then brought over to me.
The heart rate monitor was detected instantly by my GPS bike computer and also by my Strava app. and started recording heart rate right away which seemed to be accurate to what my watch was detecting at the same time.
I always have applied a little water to the back of the electrode and my skin where is worn or the chest straps might not be detected till you have developed some perspiration.
I hope this lasts as long as my old Polar monitor but so far I’m happy that it connected so easily.
