This thing works so well and so easily. It connected to my iPhone 13 instantly to be used with my Tempo. I wore my watch and compared it to the heart rate monitor and it was pretty much on point. It even seemed to update faster than my watch. Wore it for a solid hour workout with no issues. Didn’t slip down my chest or get uncomfortable. The strap is grippy and comfortable and easy to adjust as well. The card it comes with say battery lasts for 400hours on the included coin battery. Will update if it lasts anywhere near that or not

I got this a bit on a whim as I have a Polar H10 that I have been using for about 6 years now so that’s my reference device. I also use a Garmin watch and we have some cheap arm band sensors that came with our exercise cycle.
The good, the strap fit without issue and upon snapping the sensor in my phone immediately detected it. Since I normally use Polar Beat I tested this strap out with that app. I had hoped that I could keep my H10 and this strap paired at the same time, but I had to remove the H10 for this strap to show up. It popped up quickly and started showing my HR. The heart rate seemed accurate. at low intensity it tracked my Garmin watch pretty well but the watch form factor has its limits so I trust the chest strap more. At higher intensity I didn’t notice any perceptible difference in performance relative to my Polar. It’s not scientific, but the HR indicated seemed to track with how I was feeling given my typical exertion (rowing). I didn’t get any sense it wasn’t performing as expected.
The only slight negatives to me are the build as it feels kind of cheap (thought lightweight might be a feature), and the strap seems a bit less robust than my Polar one. I suspect it might wear out sooner than my more heavy duty one from that device which I used for about 5 years before needing to replace. I also don’t care for the strap connection, it’s not bad, but I prefer the clip of the Polar. This slip on style works just fine though. Last, this one clearly isn’t as durable as the H10. It’s not water proof but does say it’s IP67. We’ll see how that holds up to sweat, but it seems like it should do fine, but you can’t swim with this one if that’s important to you.
Probably the best thing about this one is the price. I was honestly shocked at how nice this little package is for less than $25. Considering it can do Bluetooth and Ant+ and just slides right in to many existing app ecosystems it’s pretty hard to beat. If it holds up to a few years of use then I would say it’s a good buy. I would just expect that the strap will need to be replaced. Hmmm…I haven’t tried this sensor with my Polar strap, that might be worth testing. For me, this is a great backup device, or one that someone else in the household can use.

This works with my Garmin Fenix 6s. I had to connect it to my watch using sensors settings. Once I did that, I started an event, walking… and noticed that yes it registers on my phone for the event. I also renamed it so I would know which item it was. Moofit! I didn’t download any new apps. I used my Garmin App on my phone. Is it accurate? Good question. I can say that it works, and I was able to connect it first using the watch, then activate the activity, and then view the results using my phone. Don’t forget pairing it on your phone using bluetooth!

I’m taking a star away because it took awhile to figure out what app I was supposed to download due to the way the instructions are written. I thought it has it’s own app but it works with certain apps that are listed in smaller, light grey font. I opted to go with the first app listed once I located them and after that it was smooth sailing and signing up on the app only took seconds. I spent about 20 mins looking for the app I was supposed to download and less than 5 mins downloading and signing up for the app once I did. Had the instructions been more clear I would have given 5 stars because I like everything else about the product.

Ottima fascia.

I just started using a Wahoo Kickr bike trainer with Zwift software running on a PC. Frustratingly, Zwift/Wahoo won’t read my watch so I got this to record my heartrate during training. It seems to work well, as least as well as my watch, and I think it is a good enough to use to see if this is the format I want – I can invest in a fancier one when I find a need.
I say it’s confusing to set up because I didn’t do anything – I started the Kickr by pedaling slightly, had the Zwift software open, and the heartrate monitor just showed up. I’m not sure if it’s paired with the Kickr or with the PC or how it’s happening, but it works. I was confused because there are no buttons, no LED or other way to know if it’s on, no pairing process, not even a plastic thing to pull out to connect the battery. It came ready to go. So in a way, very simple, in another way, weird.
The strap is adjustable but I’m near the limit. I think I may be a little larger than average, but not much so, so if you have a very large chest, this may not fit.

I have wasted about an hour of my life trying to get the moofit HR8 Heart Rate Monitor Chest Strap connected to my iPhone’s bluetooth. I have tried everything including restarting my phone, turning off bluetooth and turning it back on. I have read other reviews on similar products by this company and researched the internet on how to get this type of monitor to connect. It has shown up in “other devices” only about 5 times and of those, it connected two times out of the gazillion tries, but by the time I get to any app, the connection is gone. It is basically useless without attaching to my bluetooth. I eventually got it to show up in the Wahoo app, but then it would not connect.
It makes me even more sad because this is a Vine order – even though it says we get these for free in exchange for a review, we do pay for these purchases as if they were our income tax at the end of the year. If I had purchased this out of my pocket, I could return it to get my money back. But since it’s a Vine order, I am out 30% of the purchase price at tax time.
