   My wife got this for me for Father’s Day. I came fully wound, but when I triggered it, it would only ‘tick’ for one or two seconds, then stop. We tried winding it more (wouldn’t wind and further) and still could not get it to work.

   UPDATE: In frustration I eventually tried banging it several times on a hard surface. At first this didn’t help. But then I tried banging it firming face side down and now it works. I’m not increasing the number of stars I’m giving it because if a product has to be smashed repeatedly in one certain way to get it working, it doesn’t deserve any more.

   I did not want a digital stopwatch, and this has been awesome. I only gave it four stars because the cost seemed a little high, not as high as others, though.

   Got this in April. Had a few glitches at first. Following directions let it unwind( never had to wind at first) glitched at the stop stem had to always double click. Have tried to contact at no avail. Bought a second one from another supplier and still the same problems. We use these daily. Can not explain how terribly disappointed we are. Wondering who else has experienced this. Ritter has always been the go to but I am now questioning. I just need one that works….. right out of the box. Hope you can help …
