Amazing product

This is a great little piece of gym equipment for home. The higher weight limit was the selling point for me, but the machine itself has proven extremely useful. I am able to get in a heartrate increasing cardio workout in little time and without a ton of space needed. I can complete the workout with or without the resistance bands while catching up on shows. It’s a great workout in a smaller package.

This is a really good little stepper. It’s adjustable so you can change the difficukty. I usually step on it for 2 minutes before I time myself because it takes that long for it to warm and loosen up. You can then get into a rhythmn of moving much easier. Really works your quads and hamstrings and can feel buttocks but not as much (could be my technique). Gives a goid cardiomwork out too. Easy to store and can be used anywhere. Would definately recommend.

Excellent, with the best customer service ever.

I love this machine! I can’t believe how sturdy and well built it is when it was so cheap!
I have a lot of feet and back issues so finding a method of exercise that doesn’t cause me a lot of pain is very difficult but I’ve finally found one! This is such a good work out too, I can only go for a few minutes before getting completely puffed with jelly legs! I highly recommend!
It was also super easy to build and is nice and compact, easy to tuck away in the corner.

Attractive design and heavy duty frame but for some reason, user guide says not to use it for more than 15 minutes at a time or pistons will overheat. Useless for longer workout. There are also stops at the mid-way point when pushing steps downward, which produce a loud knocking sound, loud enough to bother people around you. Having a stop mid-way down also prevents a fuller extension of the leg which other heavy duty deep steppers offer.

It could be an excellent product but the user can’t control te tension, therefore when you are not young and strong it is very difficult to use. My husband and I can barely do 5 minutes. We want to return it but I missed the RETURN window.

I have had this several days. I thought this review might help someone in a similar situation as myself. I am in my 50’s probably 15 pounds overweight. Prior to COVID I did a couple of spin classes (people my age) twice a week after work and hit the elliptical at lunch 3 times a week or so. My only other exercise was climbing the steps to the 7th floor in the building where I work every morning. That’s would be about 180 steps or so. I’d be huffing by the time I got up there, heart beating…great way to start the day. I was looking for a piece of equipment to simulate this lost activity since I am working from home. I did get a cheapie elliptical to use at lunch. I had tried going up and down my own stairs but its not the same as 7 continuous flights up. I can say that this machine does NOT provide the same workout as climbing stairs in this manner. With the stepper set on its max height/tension I was able to do 300 steps without feeling as out of breath as I did going up the 7 flights. I realized why. Climbing real stairs you must lift yourself up step by step. With this piece of equipment you essentially are pushing you weight down on the steps. Believe me it’s easier! I can find myself shifting my weight to the ‘down’ side. I guess one should try not to do that! I have come to the conclusion there is no substitute for actual stairs.
But that does not mean this is bad equipment? I have used it a few times. Not enough to decide if I keeping this (twist) model, returning for a regular (non twist) model or just returning all together.
Equipment:
The unit appears very well made and sturdy. It is not wobbly. It has very big foot pedals. While my feet do not feel like they may slip off a bit of a higher berm might have been nice. Unless the pistons die out, I would expect it to last some time. It says you can adjust the height. You can by twisting a knob and it does make a difference in two ways. Doing so does increase the step height. It also increasing the effort it takes to step. I am not sure if that is good or bad. I like the bigger step…recall I was trying to simulate a stair case. I can see where the tension on that size step could be too great for certain people though.
Workout:
Its recommended 15 minutes three times a week. I can see you getting a decent workout in 15 minutes. Just doing 300 steps in 3 minutes (?) I could feel it in my legs. It’s a different feeling that climbing regular steps but nevertheless it’s doing something! The thing is I was looking to replace a 3 minute activity I did each morning with something that got me a similar cardio workout. I do not think this is it. I am not saying its bad…just not what I was looking for.
TWIST or NOT!
What does twisting mean? I read reviews and spoke with someone at Sunny Health before my purchase. By the way, I got a fairly knowledgeable human on the phone within a minute! Regular stairs your feet point 90 degrees in front of you and up you go. This unit is not like that. Your leg sort of fan out as you go up and down. Look at the pic and notice distance between the rear steps and the front. It sort of feels like you got Chubby Checker on in the background and you are ‘twistin’ as you step. You do seem to get used to fast. My only concern is some reviews stated it started to hurt their knees. I have not used it enough to see if that happens. I do suspect you get a better work out ‘twisting’.
Arm Bands.
I have not tried them. Until I know I am keeping the unit I did not want to open them. I cannot see how the arm bands could be a detriment. In fact I suspect having them gives a you a little something to hold onto as you step. I suspect I’ll get used to stepping free handed, but for now the unit is alongside my elliptical and I hold the vertical bar with one hand as I step. If no harm come to my knees over the next couple of weeks, I’ll probably keep this unit and try the bands.
Computer:
Again, it I still boxed. It sits down by your feet. I doubly my eyes could see it! My experience with the things in this price range is not to expect much. However, if I keep the unit I will follow-up.
Bottom line:
It really wasn’t what I was looking for..but that may not exist. I don’t have spin class anymore. Perhaps this little guy can fill the void. I’ll do 300 steps each morning. And perhaps try two 15 minute sessions a week after work. I will try to follow-up in a month or so. It’s a sturdy piece of equipment that should be easy enough for anyone to use and has a small footprint. Just stream your ‘Lets Twist again’ and you are ready to go!

I absolutely love this stepper! SO much that i bought two! One for myself and one for my husband who works out of state! This thing is sturdy! (I weigh 211 and my husband weighs 243!) It has adjustable resistance and this thing will have you sweating in 2 minutes! Great buy and my home gym wont be without it for sure!

I am so glad I purchased this! I was a bit worried about the squeaking people seemed to have occasionally mentioned. Some have said WD-40 works perfectly, so I’ll be using that if the time comes. I’d like to add that the booklet it comes with also mentions that it should be greased up about once a month. So to any of you who are experiencing squeaking, or are afraid of it, there’s an easy fix! Now onto the review!
Assembly: This was super easy to put together. The only thing you have to do is lift a pedal from the edge closest to you, then attach the cord onto the pulley beneath it. Then screw in the tension knob. The tracker comes with a battery, so put that in, then you slide the tracker onto the thin stick piece in-between the two pedals. The rubber bands clip-and-screw onto loops above the pedals. It took less than 2 minutes to put together!
Workout: It definitely gets your heart racing after just a minute of stepping. The machine resembles walking up the stairs, rather than running like a full-size elliptical simulates. The machine gives a great cardio workout without damaging your joints. I normally like to run 3 miles every other day, but this will be replacing that since I want to spare my knees and hips. The resistance bands add to arm training as well, and I really like that. The lowest tension setting is probably enough for most people to get a solid workout. As you’re standing on it, you have to push your feet down, but not too hard. Once you get momentum going, it’ll feel like you’re running up some stairs. I’m 108 pounds, so maybe it’s just because I don’t add a lot of weight onto the pedals, but I personally really like having to push my legs down to get it to move. This isn’t like an exercise bike with the lowest tension where sometimes the pedals move before you do! It’s not hard, though. I don’t want to discourage anyone from buying this. If you’ve been on any sort of elliptical, you’ll probably know what I mean. But at the same time, I don’t think this would work if you’re sitting down.
(Side-note) I can work out for an hour and experience no problem. If you got the booklet that says 15 minutes, the actual company says to ignore that, and do your workout for as long as you’d like.
Size: It’s bigger than I thought, but it’s not a problem to store away. It’s short enough to store under beds and maybe some couches, and definitely small enough to put in a closet. And if you must, you can always stack things on top of it if you’re low on space.
Overall, I really like this product. I’m glad I purchased it. I will definitely purchase another one if I have to at some point!
UPDATE: I have thousands of steps on this thing already, and no squeak! I generally workout for an hour, sometimes one and a half, so ignore the 15 minute disclaimer from the booklet. I’m a tiny person anyway, but I was so surprised when I lost a half-inch in my waist and a full inch in my thighs! This thing is probably my greatest purchase in a long time. It’s so easy on my joints and I’m very grateful for that. Just a little tip though, it takes a minute for it to warm up. It might seem a bit stiff at first, but it’s loosened in less than a song’s length! BUY THIS.

Pros:
– Of all the Sunny steppers, this one feels the sturdiest.
– Can go up to 250 pounds. You could likely go over, but I wouldn’t recommend doing so for extended use — the frame is pretty solid, but I doubt the cable is sturdy enough for it.
– Easy to move and store.
– Has built in removable resistance bands
– Comes with a calorie and step counter.
– A great replacement for walking if you’re unable to do it outside
Cons:
– The cylinder becomes hot to touch after extended use, so give it time to cool it.
– The cylinder can also squeak, but it is nothing WD40 can’t fix.
– Found my cylinders left a bit of a mark on the carpet (looks like a bit of grease) — I now put a bit of cardboard underneath them.
– Calorie burn tracker isn’t accurate.
– Manual only recommends 10-15 minutes of use at a time.
It does have its flaws, as listed above, but I’d say the positive greatly outweigh them (especially the small little ones that do not really have an impact on use). It’s easy to use, doesn’t take up much space, and does pretty much everything in advertises. Best of all, you can plunk it down in front of the TV.
