I love the feel of this stopwatch. The buttons are very crisp and clicky. It is just right. BUT the quality of mine is junk. I have not used this much, maybe 20 times and it looks like the attached. The LCD artifacts appeared within 6 months. This has only been used by myself and has never been dropped or had more than a few raindrops on it. As a replacement I will try another brand.

First of all it is so accurate that I think my reaction time may be making it off. It has an alarm for taking it on the road. Consider it your portable alarm clock that you can hang on your neck. It has a light which I use mainly for unlocking my car door in the morning. It has the time, so if you don’t have your cell phone, you can still know the time. It is compact and most people don’t know what it is when you’re using it. It works great.

I just started running a few months ago and still do several intervals of walking rests between periods of running. I wanted to be able to accurately track the time intervals and use it to calculate distance run out of the total. I purchased this stopwatch to record running time vs. walking time, and the lap function works well to track this information. A pushbutton on the side turns a backlight on/off for night viewing. The size fits nicely in my palm and it comes with a cord to hang around the neck. The face shows you both the total time (lower) and the time of the last interval (upper), as well as the lap (or interval) number, and the digits are large enough to read easily. I’ve used the timer for about 3 months now and had shopped for awhile before deciding on this one, and I’m very happy with my decision. For the price, this was a good value for all the features.

A solid stopwatch that is very easy to carry and use while running. Lives up to expectations and is more than worth its cost.

    Pros:
Buttons don’t double click, lights up on-click for 3 secs but very useful, recalls with laps and split times, buttons work perfectly (no double-clicking), quick and easy to use instructions, basically a stopwatch that comes with everything you need and doesn’t fail to expectations.

    Cons:
Lanyard seems to be a shoelace and batteries are probably drained halfway since there is power button.

I heard an annoying ringing in my ear. After looking all over I realized it was this stop watch and I couldn’t get it to stop. I removed the battery and it no longer turned on even after replacing with brand new battery.

Before I get into my explanation of the problem that I have with this stopwatch, I will mention that it seems to be a quality product. I’ve used it for a couple of weeks now, and I really think that it’s one of the better stopwatches out there, especially for the price. The buttons seem solid, they beep each time you push them, and the backlight is invaluable if it’s twilight or dark. Also the 2-1/2 inch diameter fits well in my hand. Now the problem. I bought this stopwatch because it tracked laps. I thought that I would use it to track my walking intervals. I usually do 20 intervals at 45 seconds each. I typically lose track of how many I’ve completed during my walk, but since this stopwatch tracks laps, I thought that I could simply click the lap button every 45 seconds, and I’d easily know when I’d completed 20 laps. Unfortunately, this stopwatch doesn’t reset the moving display to zero when tracking laps. Instead, the total time elapsed just keeps going. So, when I press the lap button, the top static display shows approximately 45 seconds, but the bottom moving display keeps going instead of resetting to zero. So, I have to add another 45 seconds in my head to know that I need to press the lap button at 1 m 30 secs, and then again at 2m 15 sec, and so on. Each time I push the lap button, the top display indicates my new lap time, and increases the lap number by one. The split timer actually works a little bit better for this since it keeps a cumulative time, and then all I have to do is add 45 seconds to the cumulative split time to know when to push the split button again. But still, I have to calculate in my head when to push the split time button using the total time. The only alternative is to push the stop button at the end of 45 seconds, push the reset button to reset the moving display to zero, push the start button, and then repeat the process when the timer reaches 45 seconds. This is the way I prefer the moving display to work, except that this method doesn’t keep track of the number of laps since I’m resetting both displays each time. So, once again, I’m losing track of the number of intervals that I’m doing, and that was the whole purpose of buying this stopwatch in the first place. To overcome this, I use my wrist watch to determine when 15 minutes has elapsed, and then I know that I’ve done my 20 intervals. I understand that the stopwatch needs to track total time for most applications that it’s used for, but it would be nice if it had an option that would track total time in the background, while it reset the moving display to zero each time. Then I could simply push the lap button every time the moving display reached 45 seconds, and I would be finished when the lap counter hit 20. Sorry for all the detail, but I read all the reviews before I bought this and nothing was mentioned about how the displays actually worked. I hope this helps someone, because if I could’ve read this in a review, I would not have purchased this stopwatch. By the way, if anyone knows of a stopwatch that tracks laps and resets the moving display to zero after each lap, I’m all ears.

    John W. Welker – September 27, 2024

I bought this over six years ago, and I can’t say I’ve been kind to it. I’m a runner, and this thing has spent hundreds and hundreds of miles in my sweaty palms and pockets, and I’ve dropped it plenty of times, and it still just works. Lightweight and fits comfortably in my hand. It took six years, but I finally had to replace the battery. Inside is an ordinary CR2023 battery, there are six small screws holding the stopwatch case together, and I needed to remove a tiny screw inside to remove the battery. But still a very simple fix, took all of three minutes to get it open, swap the battery, and close it back up again.

My only complaint is that a couple years ago, the backlight stopped working. The numbers were still perfectly readable, but if you needed to read it in the dark, there was no way to light up the screen after the backlight stopped working. However, that was apparently just a battery issue, because after changing the battery, the light works again. That, and I never needed the light anyway. So it wasn’t an issue when it wasn’t working, and it’s especially a non-issue now that it’s working again.

Not much more to say, I like it and I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth out of this thing.

    Marco Polo – October 4, 2024

For timing sporting events with multiple laps and competitors, this watch has the basics without adding unnecessary frills that get in the way. Easy to ready display, straight forward recall with ability to cycle thru memory up or down, whether watch is running or stopped. Looks visually similar to some other watches (Oslo is one) but this is completely different design and well-made inside. Very good value for the price. Only con is that sometimes trying to capture two splits very close together (under 0.15 sec) the second button press is missed.
