The right tool for the job. Other devices were more expensive and had options that weren’t needed (why pay for something you’l never use?)

Have 499 and printer and a 498. Package for download cable may have Version 1.4 of drivers. I can only get Version 1.3 to work. That is available at digisportinstruments.com. If it won’t work with COM3 despite indicating connection, try COM4.

My husband put new batteries in the timer. It would never feed the paper. Internal battery dead? The Athletic Director at our school had also purchased one that seemed to work fine until we got to the first cross country meet. Again, the paper would not feed.
Useless!! The only positive thing I have to say is that the company DID refund our money promptly.
