Call me old fashioned, but I have never liked the new digital stopwatches. To many buttons, and not the right click when the timer is stopped. The stopwatch is half scaled, so that it takes 2 times around to make a minute, this is great for track and field timing, and also great for timing runners on the football field. I also used it recently at the racetrack for horses just find out how close it was to electronic timing, was surprised at how accurate it was. Great product that brings back memories of my youth.

RATING should really be ZERO stars! UPDATE: I finally heard from seller “AthleticStuff” asking for more info. I replied promptly and it took days to get the courtesy of a reply. Their most recent message to me suggested I didn’t know I had to or knew how to WIND it! WTF is up with seller “AthleticStuff”?
Based on my bonafide nightmare experience I WOULD ADVISE AVOIDING THIS item and especially the seller “AthleticStuff.”
The stopwatch I got was totally unreliable within a few days use uses. It was to get light usage for long digital camera time exposures. It was always properly wound, which you need to do often with a mechanical stopwatch, never overwound or jarred or dropped. Then one day it lost it’s mechanical mind and might or might not start or stop with crown press. (Maybe loose filings inside case from being made in an unclean manufacturing facility?) It acted like bits inside the case were getting caught in the clockwork causing it to stop or hesitate as gears turned or the case was tipped. I have confirmed that the mechanism will ALWAYS FAIL if it is started in a flat horizontal position then tipped up by 15° or so. Hate to return it, but for actual use this nice looking stopwatch is unreliable junk. If I had the means I would attach a demo video of it’s absolute uselessness. If you are thinking of using this for something serious. . .you have been warned NOT to. The other day it started resetting to 8 seconds instead of Zero. It took several starts, stops and resets for it to reset right back to zero. Junk inside the watch seems likely but I don’t even know of a real jeweler/watch repairer who could look at it.

When I received this there was just the stopwatch and the box–nothing else. The stopwatch was broken so I returned it for an exchange. The second stopwatch came, it was loose in the package and all scratched up. I tried it, but it didn’t work either. For $80 I expect a timepiece that looks good and works good. This is just another example of what China should NOT try to make. Amazon was gracious and took the watches back for a refund, however, this just isn’t worth taking the time to order.

I got this watch to replace one I had for over 35 years and its just what I needed! Service was perfect and it arrived in a box inside a padded bag, so I don’t know what the one reviewer was complaining about! If you’re one of those people like me who doesn’t want some cheapo cheapo plastic piece of digital garbage that will break if you look at it the wrong way, this is for you….a good old-fashioned stopwatch that keeps accurate time! And really, what more could you want? I’m sure it will get plenty of use over the coming years in the classroom timing student presentations and when you’re using it for something like that, you need accuracy. Great seller….great product…a person can’t ask for more!!

nice old style stopwatch–feels good in hand, easy to operate, well packaged for mailing. reminds me of stopwatches used when I ran track in the 1980’s–basic and to the point on how fast you are going.

This appears to be a good-enough stopwatch. I don’t know how long it will last, but it works fine out of the box. It is decent looking, but it is not impressive. Nobody is going to mistake it for expensive (and really, it wasn’t all that cheap). The packageing is not impressive at all.
It is simple and straightforward to use. There is a satisfying click when it stops and starts.
I probably should say that I bought this as a gift. Maybe I would be more positive if it was just a tool that I was going to use myself. Anyways, it’s adequate.

I wanted an analog stopwatch for no real reason. The problem is the plunger sticks in the down position. Don’t buy this model.

Old school stop watch and still useful. In this day of digital time keeping, many of my younger students (not academia) marvel at the round device. The older students recognize the time piece.
