Psychologically I like to try to average a set distance per day and not worry too much about the effort; but three times a week I go for a good cadence rate of 80 for the intense bit (I’m 74 so it’s not fast) and go to a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) plan covering the same distance as on the ‘free-wheeling’ days.
So testing out this bike, it takes 357 pedal revolutions for one mile. (To get this figure, distance was noted and I cycled three separate sets of 100 revolutions and recorded identical distances for each set.) I had to laugh as this implies [if gearing were one-to-one] a bike wheel circumference of nearly 15 feet, whereas perhaps 7 feet would be nearer the norm. It’s actually about the circumference of a penny farthing. Of course, gearing ratio on real bikes is not one-to-one.
The display can be either in miles or kilometres. Mine was set to miles. The clue is the ‘m’ at the end for the distance. (Change to kilometres by peddling and holding down the yellow button for about 10 sec and vice versa.) Of course, there’s no ‘accuracy’ for distance on an exercise bike. It’s only a proxy and based purely on number of pedal turns. Resistance on the bike isn’t calibrated but relies on judgement. The serious trainer doesn’t rely on resistance and is interested in cadence and heart rate. So let’s look at the pros and cons.
Pros
Easy to assemble. Compared with my last exercise bike, this was a doddle with my slowing down only at the pedal stage. But see ‘Cons’ for a slight niggle. When looking at the reviews, “ease of assembly” had 242 positive and 0 for negative. I thought that this looked very suspicious! But I can see why now.
The ride feels authentic.
The tilt of the saddle can be adjusted, although it took me a while to realise it as it’s not mentioned in the book.
It has an odometer—which is important for me as I have a target distance each day, but I might have more than one session within the day. I wondered if it had an odometer to begin with as the instruction book has next to odometer: “(If have)”.
It has ‘levellers’ that can be adjusted to get the bike level. For a bike like this it obviously needs to be level so that the fly wheel can spin properly. I haven’t used them yet though.
Delivery was prompt and no parts missing.
Cons
The saddle is not too bad, but I’ve subsequently put on a gel cover, which I’d used on a previous bike.
The handlebar unit could do with another notch or two in height. There’s a slight handlebar wobble, probably because it’s set at maximum height, which doesn’t go away by sliding some folded paper down either side.
The display is just over 5 cm wide by 2.5 cm—which is too small—especially the small pointer that shifts to the next mode every 5 sec. It’s annoying that it has only one button as a control. Pressing the one button resets distance time to zero, but not the odometer, of course. The pulse didn’t appear to work for me at first; I found I had to push the plug in hard–it doesn’t want to go all the way in. Now it works, but usually slips out soon after. There’s mention of a clip to the ear, which wasn’t included. A reviewer mentions that the display can hold a tablet or mobile phone. Width of slot is just 1cm—slightly too narrow for my mobile with its protective cover.
Although assembly was easy, there was one difficulty. The instruction book writes ‘clockwise’ and the actual pedal has a circular arrow pointing in the opposite direction and the same problem for the other pedal.
The instruction book diagrams although accurate, were too small in places and could have done with a magnified inset for the bits about washers etc. I accept that there were probably language difficulties.
Delivery: This is not exactly a ‘con’, but I was concerned beforehand about the sole supplier Urevo Fitness. Only about 80% showed ratings of 4 or 5 in the last year when I looked. But then I guess that those satisfied were less likely to give a rating in the first place. Delivery for me was perfect and importantly the package had all the parts in perfect condition.
Of interest
In the trouble-shooting section it says: “if there’s a rattling or grinding sound…check chain tension…” It looks like the chain tension can be adjusted and the customer care can be contacted for assistance. They seem to have a good reputation from reviews, so in the long term I suspect one needs to contact them for information on how to open the chain guard door [looks easy enough] for either lubrication or tension adjustment. (Looking back at this review in retrospect, I’m not sure if it does actually a chain given the blurb.)
This seems better than the closed unit of the last exercise bike I had. At this initial stage the ‘ride’ is very smooth, so the chain doesn’t affect the feel of the bike.
In summary, the bike was delivered very promptly—days before they said. The package comes mostly pre-assembled. It’s heavy and it’s useful having a second person to help at various points. The ride is a good quiet one and perhaps suits the serious rider who wants to spin. Overall, I’m happy with this reasonably priced bike so far.

Es ist ein tolles Indoor Bike, für diese Preis kann man nichts aussetzen. Leider ist es leicht wackelig(100% korrekt aufgebaut!) und beim fahren muss man sich leicht links lehnen um unangenehme schütteln zu vermeiden. Kunststoffteile sind sehr zerbrechlich, vor allem dieses Ding das man oben am Lenkrad montiert. Ich Jin nicht sehr stark und trotzdem beim einsetzen ist ein Stück kaputt gegangen. Sattel hält sich am Platz nur mit enorme Kraft beim schrauben zudrehen. Müsste Nachbar holen.
Lieferung war kacke, da der Bike 27 Kilo wiegt und würde am unteren Eingang angeliefert, dh. unten gelassen und es wurde fröhlich weg gefahren bevor ich es geschafft habe nach unten zu kommen. Vllt hat der Fahrer Angst gehabt es hoch tragen zu müssen. Aber dafür kann der Bike nichts. Also für dieses Preis ist es echt ein nettes Teil, absolut nicht zu vergleichen mit teureren Marken oder schon gar nicht mit Geräten im Fitnessstudio. Für mich ist es gut genug als “vielleicht werde ich Sport machen, vielleicht nicht und ich will nicht zu viel Geld ausgeben” Investition. So, jetzt zu eindeutigen plusen: Optisch sieht der Fahrrad sehr gut aus, es ist super simpel zum aufbauen und es macht Spaß am Abend statt auf Couch auf dem Bike
Serien zu schauen(Dank eine schlaue und stabile Halterung gelingt es mit Handy und mit Tablet). Bike war sehr günstig. Für jeden Tag intensiven Training vielleicht nicht, für ein gutes Anfang des Sportlichen Aktivitäten sehr geeignet. Es tötet Geldbeutel nicht und ich bereue der Kauf nicht. Wenn man Katzen hat kann man die Pedalen mit Schwungrad Regulierung fest ziehen wenn man weg geht. Allgemein sehr zufrieden.

I read the reviews before purchasing and they are accurate about the compact nature of the machine and how it’s super easy to set up (basically no work required). When I’m not using it, I simply turn it on its side and it doesn’t take up walking space at all.

Setup was pretty easy and it will be nice if you have help. The remote makes it easy to change settings. It can go high up to 3.6 speed. The only gripe I have is it doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity to an app so there’s no way to track your progress throughout the day. I have it set up under my desk and use it throughout my work day. It will be easy if I had tracking of some kind. The monitor display is nice it shows the steps, duration, speed. Overall it is nice to have a compact treadmill at my home.
